I purchased this to replace a wireless doorbell and it serves that need perfectly. However, the motion detection does not work as I expected. The sensor is extremely sensitive and will detect large vehicles on the street at its lowest setting. I've made adjustments so that not all zones are active and while this works I still feel as if I'm being alerted of motion later than desired.

The quality of the RING 2 is excellent. The package includes everything needed down to screws (3 types) and a special screw driver for the locking mechanism. Charging unit for battery is high speed. Instructions were simple to understand.

This is even nicer than I thought it would be. Do recommend buying the additional time you can review. It is worth it and it stores it for you. I do turn motion off if we are home but it is great when you are not! When hard wired no need to charge battery

Easy to install and great for security when you’re not at home.

Loved the ring door bell while we had a free trial. Now that the trial has run out we get a notification for all cars that pass on our street or the wind blowing the trees. Only way to avoid this is to purchase their plan that allows you to control the sensitivity range.

I feel safe in my home now with the Ring doorbell. It works fantastically, and with the app, it's like I'm always home.

Set up the Ring 2 in less than 30 minutes. Camera and clarity is excellent. Love it that you can be miles away and get a notification that someone is at your door and be able to still communicate with that person. Well worth the money. Definitely recommend to anyone considering the Ring 2

You cant go wrong with this doorbell. Does so much and easy to use. Functions better than SimpliSafe. Its very reliable unlike the competitors. I’m saying this because I had the other brands and unfortunately they were a huge disappointment. My family and I are very happy with Ring.

It is a little slow in activating Sometimes by the time you can respond the person is gone Also you need to remove the battery if it is not wired, for charging This deactivates the system during the charging ( could be many hours

Not sure if ours is defective but it seems to take a while to initiate from when we get a notification that someone is at our door. So maybe this is something common with the older model? It's great to see the crazies that come by your house when you are at work but not sure if its just slow with Android or what.

ok so I liked the ring doorbell but, wanted something a little better so bought this ring 2 and hardwired it where the ring was then moved the ring to my side garage door. Both work very well and easy to install. bought another ring for my niece and she installed it herself.

I bought this as well as other Ring cameras. Resolution and clarity is great, as well as sensitivity settings. Sent video to police when we were having vehicle break ins. Picture was so clear, that they arrested them a few days later. Pay for the higher resolution model.

Easy to use and set up. Great features like being able to communicate with people at your door whether home or on the go. Also, can get alerts for what is going on around your community. It’s $3 monthly discounted if you pay yearly or add other Ring products.

The camera quality is super clear and the app is user friendly.

Ring is nice. I don't like that you have a monthly payment for the recordings. Arlo gives seven days free.

I think this is a really cool technology but unfortunately even with the angle attachments I can’t get it to stop triggering every time a bigger vehicle drives past our house. It’s frustrating because there are so many false positives that I don’t know that I would ever pay attention to it if it was somebody really trying to come up to our house.

Needed a door bell on an old house that never had a wired one installed. This works great for both Cam and door bell

We have a whole Ring ecosystem and their doorbell is the best to have. They also make the only battery-operated model on the market, so since we don't have a real doorbell this worked out great. I love that I can view it on different devices like my phone and Alexa.

Chose this model because there was no existing wiring in my home. It works well. I can watch live on my echo devices or phone. There's a slight delay sometimes for the motion alert, but, am pleased overall. Thought the battery may not last long in winter, but, it has held up well.

Easy installation of the product. Connects to your smartphone easily, and you can watch your front door( if that is where it is installed). Alerts to your phone when the Ring senses movement, and you have the capability of speaking to the person directly. Love this product!
