I liked the ring 2 over the pro because I didn't want to have to hard wire the doorbell. Battery lasts a long time. Some vivnt smart home people tried to get me to get their doorbell but I chose this one because there is no required monthly subscription to use, plus I think vivnt has to be hard wired.

This door bell is excellent if you are looking for something to monitor who comes and goes as well as keep an eye out for packages or even sense of security for the entrance of your home this is the product we use it for all of these things and we love it

Great way to monitor the front of your house. I actually want to put one for the backyard as well. It just works well. Bought one also for my parents house. I like the neighborhood crime watch report feature of ring community. i am considering buying the whole ring security system.

Using this on an office door so we have lots of traffic in and out every day. The picture is much better than the original ring doorbell, but the battery does not seem to last as long. Make sure you get an extra. Very nice that you can take the battery out and re-charge it without having to pull the entire doorbell off the door.

I love my Ring doorbell. It’s a great security system & a great way for us to watch our daughter as she plays outside with her friends. We can also see what’s happening on our streets when cars are going by & can also watch our neighbors houses as well.

Usually works as advertised. Unfortunately, when motion detected, 35 % to 45% of the time it has a problem going live. And it takes quite a while to see who was in the camera's view. If you are not hard wired, it will need constant charging. This is the case with one I bought for another location,

It is just awesome knowing what is going on around my house at all times. I feel much more safe and at least confident that this will record any incidents if any thing were to ever happen. Always nice to know when one of your packages arrive and that no one has taken it!!!

Love he quality and features of this product with the app. I have a lot of traffic in front of my home so the battery dies pretty quickly and there’s a lag in between alerts so it doesn’t show the following object passing my property for about 30-45 seconds due to it loading the previous video. Does what I need it to do and is reasonably priced.

The Ring Doorbell 2 is awesome! It works as advertised. I see everyone who comes to my door. I did the $30.00 a year recording. Well worth it. I can answer the door from my phone wherever I am. I see when packages are dropped off. Would 100% recommend.

Our choice was between the Ring and Nest but with the black Friday sales, I couldn't see paying an extra $100 for the Nest. The Ring has effortlessly connected to all of our smart home devices as well with our mobile devices, I get notifications when anyone comes to my front door.

This is my second one. Sold the first one with the house and couldn’t wait to set up the new one. It’s a must have. I will be purchasing more ring products. They work great and come with everything you need to install. Literally everything but the drill.

I’m torn on this product. It does what it’s advertised to do but you’re likely going to have to spend more money to get it to do it well. I have Fios 100Mbps service and my router is approx. 20 yards from the doorbell itself. The doorbell loses connection all the time and when it does have connection it’s poor. I think the only way to possibly resolve this issue is to purchase the booster @ $50-60.00. Having spent a fair chunk of change on the doorbell I don’t think I should have the issues especially once you factor in the distance to router AND the fact that it’s a New home. Love the concept and the design, hate the fact that I have to spend more money to make it work the way it should out of the box. If I find a good resolution I will post an update but as of now I’m disappointed.

This is my second ring door bell..Ring 1 and Ring 2 are both easy to install and set up..but Ring 2 is not as responsive to motion as Ring 1 and the fisheye view takes some to get use to...Ring 2 also lacks range when connecting to your home system

love this my parents live so far from me and I got this for them and I can say hello and goodbye when the go to work and if no one is home we can let the delivery person where to put the packages

If you don’t have a wired doorbell this one is for you. I didn’t have a doorbell and didn’t want to rub the wiring for one. So with this doorbell it’s as simple as mount it, put battery in, follow the setup and your done. No complaints, no issues so far

Love the doorbell camera. I love being able to see when someone comes to my door and being able to talk to them through it. No issues with it and its a great addition to any home. I am starting to see many of them pop up around my neighborhood.

Great price great service! Over all you won’t regret purchasing the ring. As for service pretty cheap compared to the other camera companies. Great camera quality crystal clear. Notifications are real time no delays what so ever! Over all one happy customer.

Bought to replace a video doorbell from a different maker . Old doorbell was totally useless when the sun shined on it would get false notifications every few seconds so I would have to turn off the motion sensor . I haven't had any problems with the Ring totally satisfied so far .

This video doorbell has been a great tool. No matter where we are in state or out, we get an alert when anyone comes into our driveway or sidewalk. We purchased a second battery & so we always have a charged one ready to go.

Great addition to your smart home line up. Requires minimal experience on setting up smart home products, directions provided were easy to follow. Only downfall is the responsiveness due to our signal strength WiFi, I recommend getting the RING chime/WiFi extender if there are too many obstructions between your router and Ring.
