Dont know what took me so long!

There has been a string of packages gone missing and broken into in my building. Also quite a lot of foot traffic as well. The door cam catches everything perfectly in the hallway. The indoor serves as a doggie cam for us to watch after our puppy. The speaking feature allows us to speak to him when he’s anxious. I plan on buying more cameras to feel even more secure when we are away.

Great Video and Long Battery

Install time was longer however since it is directly installed vs a bracket and then the doorbell installed into that.

Defective product

I get the purchase and the item is defective. Smh i do t understand how a company can put out an item, and not test it before it gets to the production line to be shipped out. Things like this is not supposed to happen. And yet they did. The item wouldnt connect, regaress of if it was close to the internet. I had a tech come out to help me install only to tell me the item was trash

We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the connection concern mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. The Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus is designed to work with your home's wifi network and is compatible with b/g/n wifi networks operating on 2.4 GHz frequencies. If you're receiving a 'Setup did not complete' message and cannot finish setup, it could be due to one of these common causes of setup failures:
* Your Ring device is too far from your wifi router. Ideally, your router should be within 20 feet of your Ring device.
* There's a possible problem with your internet connection.
* There's a possible issue related to your wifi modem or router.
Make sure your wifi router is off the floor.
Walls, floors, and furniture can interfere or weaken your router’s wireless signal. Choose an elevated, central, open location.
Make sure you're entering the correct password. Passwords are case sensitive and do not include spaces. Your network password can often be found on the bottom or side of your router.
Wifi passwords are case and special character (such as *,@,$, or #) sensitive. Double check letter capitalization and placement.
If you haven't changed your wifi password since your router was installed, it may be on a sticker on the underside of your router.
Connect other devices to your wifi network using your last remembered password to verify it is still correct.
If you have multiple networks or a wifi extender, confirm you are connecting to the correct one.
Make sure to connect to the 2.4 GHz network, not 5 GHz. All Ring devices can connect to 2.4 GHz, while only select Ring devices have Dual-Band Wifi to be able to connect to either.
If you’re still having issues, try holding down the reset button on top of the camera for 20 seconds. Before you reset your device, make sure to download any videos in your account.
If you are attempting to connect to a community wifi network, you may need to reach out to your internet service provider to manually add the MAC ID of the Ring device to allow it to connect to your wifi.

Wont connect

It sounds like your device is not performing to your expectations. There are several reasons that your device may be offline:
There could be an internet service disruption in your area.
Your wifi network name changed or your wifi network password has changed.
You switched from a 2.4 GHz (2G) to a 5 GHz (5G) wifi network and your Ring device is not compatible with 5 GHz. Try re-enabling the 2.4 GHz network—all Ring doorbells and security cameras are compatible with 2.4 GHz networks.
Physical obstructions between your Ring device and wifi router, such as large metal appliances, multiple walls, heavy furniture, or concrete, stone, or other dense building materials.
A blown fuse, power outage, or loss of backup power to the device or router.
If you have a Floodlight Cam that is connected to a light switch or a timer, make sure the switch is set to “on” or the timer is working so the camera receives power.
To reconnect a Ring video doorbell or security camera to your wifi network:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡).
Tap "Devices" and select the doorbell or camera you'd like to reconnect to wifi.
Tap the "Device Health" tile.
Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app.
Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.
