It represents a significant improvement in both day and night images. There is a reasonably quick video response if you have a good wi-fi signal. The set-up and installation are easy.

More versatile since you have the option to go battery powered or hardline. Comes with a plate to adjust angle (more can be bought and stacked for a wider angle). Clear intructions for installation and set-up for the diy folks. Cons: No option for a higher resolution, 1080p is still pretty the mainstream, which it had at least 2k or 4k. No local storage Subscription base for storing videos on the cloud (internet) to view later.

Great product

The installation is very easy and quick. I actually waited for 30 days to review to see if there is any issue but I'm not disappointed. I love the early recording before you push the door bell. Video quality is amazing. Highly recommend.

Also it being the most current version is a plus. Decent pricing had a little troube connecting it to the chime it does require the newer version of the chime only set back.

Going from gen 1 to this one, the quality of the video, the battery life, the field of view from the camera, and the ease of swapping the batteries is all top notch!!

That said, it mostly does what it is supposed to do. We did like the easily interchangeable battery. We aren’t hardwired so we bought and extra and let it charge so we can just keep swapping them when one runs out.

The Ring Video Doorbell 4 has all the same great features of the previous generations of battery video doorbells, including Ring Video Doorbell, Ring Video Doorbell 2, Ring Video Doorbell 3, and Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus.
