Extremely poor battery life.

The battery life is extremely poor. It only last for 12 hours. I have just about have every feature turned off on it. Connection to WiFi is excellent. It’s directly on the other side of the wall. I’ve been checking the battery life throughout the day. It never drops below 94%. Then after twelve hours it is dead. I take the cover off and press the reset button…nothing. Next I pull the battery and reinstall it. The lights blink once and NOTHING. So I replace it with a fully charged one and it works again. I’m glad I also bought the Ring charger with two batteries. One thing about the charger. It shows the power level when you start charging, one dot. It’s either drained completely or has very little power left. Hardwiring is not an option for where it’s mounted at. I’ll try the solar charger next. But I will be contacting Ring about this issue. The battery should not be draining that quickly and showing 94% power just before it stops working.

The more events captured by your Ring Doorbell, Ring Stick Up Cam, and Spotlight Cam Battery, the more your battery is used to power the live HD Video stream to your device. Even if you do not answer the call, video is still sent from your Ring product to the Ring servers. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner. In addition, the battery is also drained each time you use the Live View to look or speak through your camera. To prevent excessive activity, you can adjust your motion settings to a lower sensitivity, disable certain zones, adjust the motion frequency to best fit your needs, or adjust the direction of your Ring device.
