If you live in a densely populated area or apartment building, there can be dozens of wifi networks around you, which can cause interference and lower the quality of your network. If you open the wireless options on your mobile device or computer and see a long list of networks, you may be experiencing this type of interference. In order to view recorded events in the Ring app, you will need an active Ring Protect plan, which you can learn more about in our Help Center article here: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001671383-General-Information-on-Ring-Protect-Subscription-Plans. If you're having concerns with the Live View, it could be related to the signal strength of your Doorbell. It is imperative when reaching out to our community support team you are provided assistance and solutions. We completely understand the relevance of having your device up and running, as this ensures you can be informed of activity around your home anytime day or night.

If your Ring Video Doorbell 4 is not responding to any activity (dings or motion) and you've ensured the battery pack is fully charged, a hard reset may be needed. To complete the reset, please hold the setup button down for 15 consecutive seconds and then release. The camera will take about one minute to complete the reset. Please allow a couple of minutes and then attempt a brand-new set up within the Ring app. Once the new setup is complete, please test the doorbell for improvement.
