Absolute garbage!

I've contacted support multiple times and they even sent me a new device. Nothing has helped. Even more frustrating...A person can walk right up to the doorbell and there is no alert until they press the button. It's extremely frustrating since the doorbell's main function malfunctions terribly. I would not recommend. It's a total waste of money.

Oftentimes with motion detection concerns, they can be resolved by adjusting the settings or the angle of your Doorbell. While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every ring, motion, and live view event for up to 60 days (US). You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the Live View feature. Additional information about the optional Ring Protect Plan can be found on Amazon's website under the device specifications section of the product page or on our support website.

Ring Doorbell Pre-Record is just doesn’t work.

The Video Doorbell 4 was designed with features such as Near Zone functionality, boasting 1080p video quality, improved night vision, improved audio quality, and near-motion zone detection. After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell 4 is not picking up the correct motion. The Ring Video Doorbell 4 has features such as Near Zone functionality, boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. The Video Doorbell 4 offers 1080p video resolution, but an unstable or poor wifi connection could cause the video resolution to display in 720p. This is part of Adaptive Video Play, which you can read more about here: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032437812-Poor-Quality-Video-Image-and-Adaptive-Video-Play. As for the monthly charges, the Ring Protect Plan is an optional subscription that provides extra features for your Video Doorbell.
