We originally wanted this product to avoid solicitors. After viewing the recordings on our phones, we did not need an outdoor camera anywhere on our front patio as the wide angle viewing covered the whole patio very well! We are very happy with this doorbell!

Installation to use the previously existing wiring was very easy, so it is powered without having to recharge. The convenience of answer the doorbell and speaking to the person from my phone is exactly what I needed. My office is in my basement and I used to miss people at the door, deliveries that needed signatures, etc..because I couldn't hear the doorbell. Now I can see who it is, and decide if I want to go up and meet them or not if it is a solicitor. The video quality is good and the ability to use the live view is great when I want to investigate a sound.

Easy to install and easy to use. It has all the basic features, I am not very ¨techy¨ and was able to install it myself. Images are clear.

Got this to catch anyone taking our packages. And to prove that USPS doesn't always attempt to deliver packages. Once we got the range down that we wanted for the motion sensor it works great. We got one for the mother in law too.

I love the Ring and everything about it. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because of instillation. The directions said i need a drill if going through siding wood or brick. It should have said i needed a hammer drill if going through brick.

I can't wait to get it and put it to the test, but so far my friends got it and they LOVE the Ring Door Bell system. I check my deliver everyday, according to UPS they had the wrong street address, but I check in my account and it's right. If it works great

Great camera and doorbell, the range is awesome and the motion detection is a huge plus. I like being able to answer the doorbell from anywhere or use the camera to monitor deliveries. It works so well, I'm considering buying another one for my back door

Good quality product for the price. Keeps my home safe while I'm around or not around. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting security at their front door.

I purchased the ring video doorbell for added security. The quality of HD video is Impeccable, And detects motion instantly, however I was not able to hardwire it to my existing doorbell (location wasn’t ideal) and the battery depleted within a week or so. Not sure whether other newer models may Have addressed this concern. Overall a solid purchase.

easy install, works great. The only thing that would be nice is an external power supply for use in homes that do not have existing hardwired doorbells. There is a solution on the ring website that uses a doorbell transformer and a resistor though.

I installed the camera using the wireless mode. I wanted to see how long the charge last, my plan is to eventually do the hard wire. The camera takes good video. I have it set for ring and motion alerts. You have to play with the motion alert settings to get the areas you want it to capture motion. I would recommend this product. I plan to get the stick up cam in the future to go over my garage. I like when I'm away from my home to be able to look at live view and see what's going on in the area. You do need to subscribe to their Cloud that saves the live video, that's about $30 a year.

Neat product,battery need s recharge quickly in cold weather.a bit of tech know how helps for setup but the helpline is good and quick

The camera and overall picture quality is great and responsive. However, it was way too big to install over my current door bell area.

I was a bit concerned about the operation of this video doorbell (I purchased the original version) because of several reviews stating issues with network connectivity, sporadic notifications, etc. Well, first off it only took about 10 minutes to install (replacing my existing wired doorbell) and took about another 10 minutes for my wife to set-up the app. After about 30 minutes tweaking the settings & sensitivity level, my wife couldn't be happier with the operation of the video doorbell. I am now looking at adding several Ring cameras around the outside of the house.

Easy to install, great picture! We use it every time the bell rings or the motion sensor rings. No more answering the door for those unwanted sales calls!

I purchased this item on sale at $99. It’s a great buy at this price. I wouldn’t recommend it at any higher price point. You’d be better off spending a little more to get higher resolution and better features on the pro model.

I had been considering purchasing the Ring Doorbell since a co-worker showed me all the features and how it worked. I was very impressed so had been watching for a sale. The black Friday price was incredible so I bought the doorbell and am very pleased.

I really needed to monitor my front door activity so I decided to get the ringdoorbell, it was super easy to setup not so much to mount because of my siding, the only problem I've had it's that it seemed to have lost network connection even though my internet was fine and I have high speed so that was not the issue. The only other thing I did not like is that it does not include a wedge and you have to purchase separately which the doorbell is already pricey so why would I want to pay another almost $30. overall great product
