The motion detector has delay and does not adjust to low light well. It's better v. competition but still only 3.5 to 4 stars.

I was leaving for an extended vacation and was worried about the security of my house. A friend of mine told me about ring. I checked it online and read the reviews before I bought it. Installation and setup was easy using my existing wiring and doorbell. Only thing is you have to pay for the basic or plus plan to see the history of recorded stuff and enhanced security feature. But even without paying you can still have a fully functional door bell camera and alert notifications.

Easy to install and app is very user friendly! You can have it up and running in 30 min. Video quality is good and works well with my iPhone.

The ring is amazing! It’s so fast and easy to set up. Always has a clear picture and perfect detection.

Installation was easy... for the most part. I had to charge the battery for about 30 minutes before I could do a wifi connect then it had to download the latest firmware. Once that was all out of the way, the rest of the install was easy. Just followed the directions. The app is nice but motion sensing is hit or miss sometimes. It's either too sensitive and picking up trucks that drive by or is not seeing the UPS driver at all. My install is hard wired so I can't comment on battery life.

Would like to at least be able to check who is at the door for at least up to a day and be able to playback without a subscription.

I purchased a Ring for myself and loved it so much, I bought one for my Father. Unfortunately his existing doorbell was an intercom so we could not hard wire the unit. We installed it anyway and ran it off batteries but he now has the hassle of changing batteries. Make sure before buying that the unit will fit on your door. Many front doors have limited space on the door jam.

I use my Ring in an apartment that is not wired for a door bell. Having a rechargeable battery that charges quickly is really convenient. Setting sensitivity is a little tricky since you have to physically push the doorbell button to change in settings. Due to living in an apartment with the door facing an open area with a pathway, the motion sensor is triggered often as people walk by. Still the best most practical product for security to come in a long time.

This is a great smart doorbell. My wife loves being able to talk with whoever is at the door. Great way to keep an eye out. There is a small monthly fee (about $3-4/month) to store videos. Otherwise it is just a live feed camera.

This Product was very easy to install and a very good source of security. The staff at Best Buy was very helpful.

Love being able to see who is at my door without having to get up. With having three little ones it’s very convenient to let them know I will be right with them as well . Two way talk is great even if your not home!!! Love it!!!!!

Very easy to use and install! First time charged did drain fast but the next time has lasted over a month so far.

The picture quality on this thing is poor, the motion detection is HORRIBLE (it picks up every passing car even after reducing the range) and the sun causes serious picture clarity issues. Most of these problems seem to have been addressed in the ring 2, I'm planning to give that one a shot seeing as I already made holes in the siding for this product. Also, you're going to likely need a subscription to make this worthwhile at all as recorded videos require a subscription.

Great picture quality. Wish you didn't have to remove it from the door to charge every 2 weeks.

It really works. Able to see who is at the door anywhere I am and able to respond as if I were at home. Easy to install and I love it.

I love this and it makes me feel a bit safer. The only issue was that is was too wide to replace my existing doorbell. I will have to charge it every so often but the clarity is better than I expected!

Super easy to install and set up. The video and audio is pretty good and the alerts to your phone is a great feature.

This is a great tool for home security and overall convenience. I use it on my short term rental and it comes in useful whenever one of my guests is having issues checking in. It is also a great deterrent. I've had packages left in front of my rental for over a week and nothing has ever happened to them. I believe this doorbell is probably to thank. It takes a while to charge but it lasts months once fully charged.
