It sounded great so I bought it . I was able to put it on my cell phone but I need to get someone out to install it. I takes a little more skills to put it in than I possess.

Purchased for my mom and my brother installed. She loves being able to see everything at her front door. She has an all glass door and gets worried about the figure on the other side. Not anymore! Also.. She watches it in the morning to see the grandkids morning leave routine and loves showing me them being silly (or dramatic...lol) going out the door to school! It's like little memories for her..

I always wanted one of these but felt they were too expensive. I jumped at the opportunity to buy one when it went on sale. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to own one. Easy to set up, easy to use, and I opted to spend the $3 a month for the monitoring service. It's every thing you read about in print or hear about on the radio or T.V. It definitely provides me with an added piece of mind when I'm home or away.

The disadvantage of this door bell is you have to take the whole doorbell off to charge it when it begins to go dead. And don’t be confused into buying a battery for backup like the sales clerk did me at Best Buy and I purchased the Ring door bell 2 that does not fit for the ring doorbell. I was very very inconvenienced. And ended up with a in store credit instead of my money back.

We are very pleased with our new Ring Doorbell. The video quality is very good and captures quite a bit of distance. Ours was installed via WiFi as we were not able to hard wire to our existing doorbell (which was inside our screen door in a spot that would not provide clear video). We also installed the Ring Chime Pro as our house is brick. This has helped with improving the WiFi signal. Overall, we are happy with both purchases.

Bought it for our daughter's house and we love the feeling of security it provides knowing she does not have to answer the door until she actually sees who it is.

My wife cannot get up to Open the door. .With this doorbell she can identify the person at the door and activate the remote lock to let service people into the house safely.

I purchase this ring door bell for security purpose and it works perfect for me. The motion sensor is thebest part because i can see the package comming even the carrier doesnt push the doorbell.

The Ring video doorbell is definitely a great addition for home security. With that said, it definitly needs improvement. My main complaint is with the video lag time. By the time the motion detection kicks in, let’s say for example, a ups delivery. As you respond to your phone notification, you’ll see the delivery guy already leaving. That some critical time lost. Especially for those situations where someone walks up to steal a delivered package sitting on your doorstep. Also the inability to reduce the minimum zone sensitivity to avoid passing traffic from triggering multiple notifications unless you actually turn off the motion settings, which defeats the purpose of motion detection. Maybe the newer models have improved on some of these issues. But this Ring doorbell is still a great addition for the security of your home. When someone approches your door, once you crack open your door to see who’s there, a door can easily be kicked in, then their in your home. The key here is to never open your door in the first place. When you answer your doorbell through your mobile app, whether you’re at home, work, or out of state, they will never know if no one is home.

When someone rings the door bell it contacts your mobile and lets you see and talk to who ever is there over the phone. Works even when you are away. You can talk to the person at the door or deny the call. Great Idea.

A very small part of me wishes that I had gotten the Pro model. I didn’t end up going with it because I didn’t want to hardwire the doorbell. I actually did end up wiring this model into my existing doorbell, and everything works great. The doorbell works great once you get the motion zones dialed in. Lots of cars driving by videos to start with. It’s alot of fun messing with the neighbor kids when they’re in your yard also.

Let's me see when the neighbor comes over to make woopie with the wife. Now I no longer have to worry about walking in on that again. Thanks Ring!

Very good quality but had to return to order new slim ring due to being too wide to fit on current door frame.

Works like I hoped. Very easy to set up. Bought two. Front and back yard. Great price.
