I purchased for my mother to provide her a bit more home security and help her monitor the front of her house. The install was easy and it was up and running in less than an hour. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I feel the app software could be a bit more user friendly and give the user greater controls over the monitor ranges.

Door bell set up was very easy and video is EXCELLENT!

I purchased this as I had no way to see who was at my door. It has taken any anxiety away I had in answering my doorbell. I can talk to the person at the door to find out who they are first before opening the door. Any activity it reads a little chime goes off. I monitor the activity wherever I’m at..anywhere on my phone. Even the people who mow my lawn I can see. It’s wonderful!

The one I bought at a BB store needed to be replaced within 3 months by Ring.com due to a hardware defect. In fact, the one I received as a replacement had an extra set of connectors on the back of it and *correctly* hardwired to my house unlike the original. So, if you get one, wire it up to the doorbell wires you already have, and it doesn't show "hardwired" in the app, just call Ring.com and let them know; see if you can save yourself the hassle. Otherwise what'll happen is likely what happened to me - in 3mo or so the thing just dies. The battery will charge when you plug it in, but go from 100% -> 0% in a matter of seconds after unplugging. Once Ring.com sees this on their end, they'll issue you a replacement. The service itself is good and works as advertised. I'm still a bit unclear as to what, exactly, the cloud recording gets me. I don't know if it's a stored history of everything, or the flat out ability to *ever* see who's at my door. This isn't as clearly painted as I'd like. I ended up signing up for the service but may cancel just to see if/how it changes things and how I can use the doorbell. When wired properly, the doorbell *DOES* ring your inside doorbell, draws power from that circuit (so the battery never dies) and will also send a push notification from your phone.

This is my second Ring doorbell. Purchased for a second home. Really easy setup. Just had to connect to WI fi and the app. took care of the rest. Great product

I was very familiar with this doorbell system & i know the regular price of it. When it came out at 1/2 the normal cost I had to jump on it. I’m so glad I did.

So glad we got this, still learning all the tricks but think it will be a great addition.

Ring alert notification is delayed. I live in sc and was able to speak with ups while on vacation in Florida

Easy installation. Love the look. The picture and sound are very good.

Installation was relatively easy as I was replacing an existing doorbell. The app is easy enough to use. My only issue thus far has been adjusting the range at which you receive notification. I will have to continue playing with that feature until I find a happy medium. Response time is adequate although not instantaneous. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

We have really enjoyed this product! Setup was not difficult, and I was very impressed with the quality of the video and sound. The range of motion can also be adjusted to your liking. When I'm at work, I can still monitor what's going on at my house, whether it's the lawn service, a delivery, or one of my kids' friends coming over. Great company and great product!

Couldn't ask for a more perfect way to answer the front door with security and safety in mind. Not only can you answer the door when you are home to screen who is ringing your doorbell, but also to answer the door when you are away so that strangers will think you are home!

The camera quality is not that great. I would recommend buying the next version. But the motion sensing and night mode works like a charm

I like that it notifies me when someone walks up to the door. The downside is sometimes I get fake notifications when leaves blow or cars drive pass the house

So happy that I made this purchase. The Ring Doorbell is awesome! Everything works so well and it is super convenient. I highly recommend the Ring Doorbell.

There are great things about this product. Set up and use is easy. Image quality is so so. What I really dislike is how unreliable the motion detector is. I clean it when I recharge the battery, but it’s more and more consistently unreliable. I’ve had a large family talking at the end of my short driveway for several minutes, and no alert. I’ve had a person talking to someone in a truck at the end of my driveway, and again, nothing. Sometimes people walking their dog will set it off, and other times nothing. Meanwhile majority of cars driving by will set it off (but not all). We’re on a relatively quiet street. They’re all the same distance and in the same field of view. It just makes me nervous for when we aren’t home. I don’t know that we’ll stick with Ring when it’s time to replace it. I think there is room for improvement.
