This is a simple but very affordable and effective solution for home security and convenience. Comes with everything you need, installs easily and works as described. After only a few weeks of use we have used the ring doorbell features more than I even thought we would. Holiday expected package deliveries could all be monitored to ensure nothing walked away from the front door.

Reason for 4 stars is: 1.) Seems to be a little too long of a lag between button press and notifications on phone. 2.) Would be nice if video would pop up immediately & automatically when button is pressed instead of having to unlock phone & open app - had people walk away before I got all that rigor-moroll done. 3.) Have to pay for service to review videos even if motion was detected or somebody was at your door 5 minutes ago - no way to review who walked up to my door or rang my bell while I was busy at work & couldn't answer app without paying - small fee but all it all adds up. Had I known this ahead of time I may have looked into other video doorbells. The install was simple enough and it does work, just not as smoothly as it is made out to be in the marketing. Another small plus would be to be able to change the ringtone heard from the device on the outside, the one supplied is annoying - turned the volume down but now people on other side of the door can't hear me so back to the loud obnoxious ringtone.

I really like that the sensor can be adjusted to the desired distance, you can snooze the notifications in case you don’t want to see it all the time. It is great to keep an eye on your online packages. It’s also great that if you need to report something you can just email the video. It is extremely easy to assemble.

Awesome will never go back to a normal doorbell i have full access to camera while away. Only downside is and the reson i would not buy more than one of these cameras is that you have to pay 3 dollars a month for each to use the cloud storage there is no bundle so once you add it up it could cost a fortune, so for now ill stick to one and maybe add some cameras with none cloud fee

I do love the Video Doorbell, however it does have a small delay in notification and uploading the videos. I bought this so I would not have to answer the door if I didn't want to and for packages being delivered to the house when I am not there. I can notify my neighbor when a package is delivered and she will go pick it up for me and hold it until I get home. It is great for that. I would highly recommend working on the immediate uploading process though.

Great product, easy installation and keeps the house secure!

Once the settings are exactly how I like them, the Ring works great. I have a flag on the porch that used to set it off but it works fine now.

I really wanted to like this. I have a regular security camera by my front door. This is where the Ring fell short 1. Motion zones: I moved it all over and couldn't find a good spot. It sent many false positives with trucks and some cars that drive by almost 50 feet away, yet it wouldn't trigger on a person until very close 2. No pre trigger video capture. See above problem. My Ring is hardwired to transformer. As there was no pre trigger video and I had to crank the sensitivity down to avoid traffic triggers, the video didn't capture faces anymore. Pre trigger is extremely useful to see what is causing the event leading up to the trigger 3. Lost network connection. I am very technical. I sell internet connection for a living. My Wi-Fi is strong. I had to remove the Ring and then the battery (not easy) to reset it and get it to reconnect. Strike three. I returned it.. Video quality is also poor

This is a great product I use it more as a camera. The down size is you need to put the shim if you dont have a door bell.

I haven't had a chance to use mine yet, but my daughter has this one and it is so easy to use. A bit too sensitive if you live close to the street, (even when lowering the sensitivity level), but it IS amazing everything that it captures and so inexpensive if you opt to have the year long storage of all that it has captured.

Well the ring is great and all but it does have 1 or a few things they can fix. The one I would like them to fix is the motion sensor in it. It shouldn't be triggered so easily. If you have a flag or decoration outside that can move this will trigger it. But overall pretty good product.

Sometimes takes a couple seconds to get notified, but just what I needed for a little security.

Few glitches with the app sometimes. Wish you didn’t have to pay the $3 a month for storage, but overall I really like it!

I would definitely recommend the Ring. The product works as described. The motion detection feature works great.

I got it on sale for $125. Cheaper than a surveillance camera. Easy to use.
