The Ring doorbell is one of those purchases that left me wondering afterwards, “How did I ever get along without it before?” My teens use it to screen unknown people at the door. And I love that I can have 2-way communication with someone at my door when I’m not home. The alerts on my phone are great too when there’s activity at the door - such as getting an alert when the kids get home from school or a package is delivered. A number of people in my neighborhood have them, and they’ve checked their Ring doorbells after a jet ski, golf cart, or expensive car have been stolen. They’ve been able to track the thieves and get a description of the thieves’ cars as they’ve driven past Ring houses on their escape routes. Ring customer service is also the best of the best, from spending time on the phone with me when I needed a hard reset to my Ring, to replacing one of my Rings that wasn’t performing as well as my others (I have 3 Rings - I installed them at my vacation homes too). I keep finding new applications and benefits with my Ring.

Works like a charm. I can see the door from anywhere, use the two way talk from my phone or tv. Works with my Alexa and if I ask it to show me the front door from the tv, it does. Pair with a Chime or two and you can hear the doorbell from anywhere in the house, too.

Like the doorbell since it has a camera you can see who is at the door even when we are not at home, it alerts us on our phones.

This thing continually goes off regardless of how I set the settings. I have adjusted this thing to totally eliminate the side views, and set everything else to the absolute minimum. It still goes off when garbage trucks and delivery trucks drive-by more than 50 feet away. We bought it because delivery people often fail to ring the doorbell, and a motion sensor device like the Ring could let us know something is there to be picked up. Most of the time however the sensitivity issue makes the Ring video doorbell of very limited use. If I could find the receipt, I would return the whole system.

This works well for the price, picture quality isn't fantastic but not bad. There is some lag in the notifications, and it can be touchy when picking up motion, even with adjusting the settings. But it gets the job done and overall is a great value.

Like the product, easy to fit But not sure if the monthly subscription is worth it Got through Christmas without any Amazon package snatchers in our area, and I can always sign up in the future. That little Ring circle on the doorstep is a deterrent in itself

The Ring doorbell works great. The included apps (e.g. Android, iOS, desktop) all help to give alerts when motion is detected. The recorded videos are good for offline viewing. The only downside is that a subscription is REQUIRED if you wish to view offline videos.

Definitely worth it for a little peace of mind for package deliveries and notification of who is at your door. Motion sensor works great. I suggest using the hardwired option if you are able to because the battery life isn't very good with motion and live view settings enabled.

Can see great picture is clear When you have a stranger approach they immediately turn an leave. Tells me they were up to no good. Neighbors love it also picks up their property and I can show them just how often strangers approach. Neighbor was so happy with info he has purchased his own.

This is an awesome doorbell . It has saved me from deliveries being left on doorstep . It lets me know when the kids get home , I see every car that goes by the front of the house and any strangers walking near my front door . Highly recommend connecting it to existing doorbell for full power and no need to charge b

great product. I am thinking of buying another along with the ringer. The only problem is that Best Buy doesn't stock the ringer.

I bought this as a gift for a friend and helped to install and set up. The doorbell package includes everything you need for battery use or hardwire outside your home including screwdriver, level, charge cable for battery and very easy to follow instructions for us - two seniors! Love it.

It was easy to assemble. But make sure you charge it first. The only thing I do not like is the delay. When notification is activated, it's not until they are close to it & when you click on answer, you have to go back to see what set it off.

I put one in the front and back and I can see everything even across from my home I can see everyone's homes and all on camera so if anything happened at my neighbor's I would have that on my phone as well best thing I have bought I see everything I like that good and safe worth the buy

I bought this item by reading the product description which specifies that it stores video on Cloud. But, only after installing it did I come to know that there is a monthly subscription charge that one has to pay monthly to store the video clips. This is dubious. If I had known it before opening the product, I would have returned it and bought Skybell which does not have any monthly subscription charges. So, please be aware of the monthly charges before expecting Ring to store your surveillance video clips on the Cloud. Other than that, product installation was easy. The video it is showing is very clear. However, there is scope for improving -- (1) reduce the lag time between somebody rings and the ring app loads the video, and (2) amplify the audio so that the caller is able to hear better.

Easy to install, I did it by myself. This a great gadget to monitor who is in your front door. It is also helpful to track your kids when they are back home. I would like to see more real time images but I guess that’s related to the house internet speed.

Bought this because my interior cameras kept seeing my dog barking at the front door but could never figure out what it was. It makes you pay fo you to be able to see alerts through the day but 30.00 a year isn't bad for what you get.

Just a ask Alexa weather. alarm, reminders etc it great. There is so much more to do with it.

Easy to install, preformed as advertised, after the 30 day free period we ended up purchasing the cloud, as we were unsure how much we would like it from other reviews. I love getting the notifications sent to my phone and being able to communicate with the people while away from home.

Not quite as nice as the 1080p version, but enough resolution to see whomever is at the door.
