Look very carefully at the videos and you will find it works well when the porch is out in the open and unobstructed. Motion sensor does not deal well if you have any pillars or obstacles around the camera. Interferes significantly with registering any motion. I had a couple great shots of the UPS driver as he was walking away from a delivery. Cannot connect with the Ring server from my office. So there's that. My router is within 30ft on a direct line and the only wall structure is the one the Ring is mounted on.Do your homework on this one.

Black screens, no connection even though the signal is good, App crashes. For a security device that costs $179 it should be more reliable. Also, you need to subscribe to a pay service to look at past events, you can just store the event videos on your phone so you have to use their cloud service and pay. Better off getting a cheaper brand.

It says it can be used to install in to brick but that was not the case. Good thing I had a hammer drill and ended up going up to the hardware store to buy drill bits for stone/brick after theirs broke off. I wish they had document the drill bit size somewhere in their documentation or on the web site. Ended up eye-balling it for size.
