This is a great product, just as the Ring cameras are. It performs extremely well allowing me to see exactly who is at the front door. You can avoid the door-to-door salesman (yes they still exist). The video is clear and crisp so you can clearly identify the person. The audio is also clear for those in the household and the those ringing the bell. Installation was super simple. I do recommend that if like ours your house is above street level purchase the wedge kit in order to avoid getting notifications from passing cars or people. However, the product does allow you to adjust these settings, There are also ways to adjust notification settings .

Great little devise. This was recommended by our local Sheriffs Dept. I like getting the alerts when someone triggers the motion sensor. Although, you have to disable the motion on windy days as it constantly sends alerts when the plants are moving. I opted for the video recording and storage feature. The app itself seems to be a little slow and the battery doesn't seem to keep the charge as long as advertised. Also the video recording is only for 30 seconds and not necessarily long enough when needed for security reasons. We also had a power outage once, and the ring did not reconnect to the wifi when the power was restored. A big issue if gone on an extended vacation.

This is my second Ring doorbell (this one for my front facing gate) and each one has been a very pleasant experience. Both were very easy to install and easy to use. This doorbell lets me know when I get packages delivered, when people approach my door, or ring my doorbell. It is very convenient. The only issue I've had is with motion sensitivity. I get a ton of motion notifications from cars on the road, which are about 35 feet away from the doorbell. It seems very accurate with detecting people but it has an issues with cars, especially large vehicles.

My previous doorbell was battery (not hard-wired). It worked only half the time somebody rang it so I knew I needed a new one. My Ring doorbell is also battery (rechargeable approx 3 months) but is much more reliable. I can now answer even when away from home and capture videos for missed rings .Also, for security, you can talk to people (salesmen) without opening the door through the included intercom on your phone app. You can even set a motion detector to alert you if someone is outside but not ringing and capture video's of that as well so Ring doubles as a security camera. My only issue so far has been motion sensitivity- ringing when a car passes . But you can adjust sensitivity and distance from device. I am very happy with my purchase.

I like the product very much and found it very easy to install and sync. The only issue is that I could not connect it to my existing door bell chime. I purchased the Ring chime which was also easy to sync to the app. Have already recommended the product to all my friends.

This is a great door monitor. You can monitor activity at your door including rings and motion from your desktop or smartphone. It has great quality video and audio. The only drawback is you must subscribe to the cloud storage service to continue saving and viewing video.

I had been wanting to get something to keep an eye on my house, but most systems are pricier, harder to set up, or both. This doorbell has been working great, was a breeze to set up, and both my wife and I can always keep an eye on our front door. As for our back door, we have two big dogs taking care of that one.

The Ring doorbell camera has exceeded my expectations, from Video quality to overall performace. I really should give.5 stars, family and friend that have seen the camera in action are very interested. I like it so much I'm going to purchase the new camera without the doorbell thats being released in February.

My neighborhood is very very safe, safe to the point that if we forget to lock our doors it was no big deal.... until now. The last year there were a few break ins by the criminal just checking the front door and entering!! Aside from the ring working great it’s also a great detourant! Easy set up and easy to use!!!!

Simple to use , easy to install if you have the extra money purchase the new update model ring 2 the camera is better , if not this one is still good !

I am recently widowed and love the security of being able to see who is at my door. Easy to install and great visibility. Only downside is how quickly the batteries run down.

Super easy to install and set up. I am a woman and did with no problem. Easy to install and set up instructions. I like that you can set the motion perimeter and that you get notifications of motion and rings. Great help in knowing when we come and go. Able to see out to the street. Very happy with this purchase.

I got these at half price. One for both homes. They work well, easy to setup. Instructions a little strange but I got through it. Only thing I don’t like is inability to delete all of a days front door motions if you are going In and out a few times on iPhone. I can do it on iPad.

Got a terrific price on the Ring doorbell. This is the first gen so it suffers from some shortcomings like washing out when bright light is shining. Overall, it’s excellent. Easy to install (I chose not to connect it to my existing doorbell) and quick connection to my WiFi and app.

Product looks great and works well. I presume it would be better if hardwired, but I have to admit the app works well and easy to set up. I would probably get the newer model with the better camera, but this is sufficient for the average user. I bought 3 of them for gifts already.

We really like this product, with the exception of its sensitivity to passing vehicles. We have tried to reduce the sensitivity to the minimum of five feet, but it still alerts on passing cars.

This could not have been easier. The most complex thing was to look at the existing doorbell to see if it was electronic or manual. The instructions provided guidance. The app guided me through the install step by step. It works great and I get notifications when anyone approaches my door or rings the doorbell.

My son installed Ring to our old doorbell location in less than 30 minutes. Everything for install is in the box. Looks a Pro install. App is great, motion sensor works as diagramed, and video quality is outspending.

Just what we were looking for. We were looking for a doorbell with camera since we don’t have a window to see who’s at the door. It was easy to install. The neighborhood feature is an added bonus as people share their experiences and images of unexpected guests, solicitors, or scammers that come to their door.
