Ring was so easy to install - even for my husband who is not handy in the slightest. We love being able to decide whether we want to answer the door by seeing who is there first from our phones. Also great when we are not home and someone delivers something etc - you can also check live view at any time so you can see if anything has been left at your front door. Only downfall is if someone comes to your front door really quickly and leaves (ups delivery man), the wifi may not pick it up quick enough and you won't get a motion sensor to your phone but we mainly use it for the doorbell feature which works great!

I feel much more comfortable (and safe) now that I can monitor my home from inside and while away! Unit is a little bulky and I was told it came with a transformer for 110 charging (it didn't) but otherwise all good.

It has never been nicer to be able to see who is at the front door before answering it. I have never felt safer, the setup is easy and the subscription fee is really cheap. I would say if your looking to add something for protection outside your home, this is a really great choice.

I’ve had my doorbell for some time now and really love it. I like the fact that you can change the settings to let you know when there’s movement within a certain distance from your door, without the person outside knowing. The video quality is really good, even at night. The only downside is that I have to charge the battery atleast once a month or so. The package states a longer lifespan for the charged battery. I’m sure that’s if u don’t use the extras. Overall, a great investment and I plan on getting the flood light camera next.

I did a lot of research on this device on YouTube as well as amazon reading customer reviews and verdicts. I took a chance with this device since it was on sale and I had promotional codes available that were going to expire soon. There as a lot of things that I like about this device, one of them being able to speak to the person that’s at your door when you’re not even home! And I can view it live anytime any where on my iPhone. Night vision was a concern but when that time came I was still able to see subjects pretty clearly. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase and recommend this product to anyone with safety concerns. You also get a free 30 day trial to save and view video footage. After that it is $3 a month which a lot of people complained about but it’s only $3!!! You people spend more than that on STUPID things when this device adds safety to your house. Sure it’s not a whole security camera system covering the whole house but it’s a start!

Doorbell is great. Installation was super easy and customer support was on point. I don’t know why anybody would review this product poorly. It has a live view and also can adjust motion. One thing to know is that you have to charge the battery as being hardwired doesn’t charge it

The concept is great - I would love to answer the door when I am not at home and make people think I am there, but this model will not work for all applications. I tried to install this where my existing doorbell is installed, which is a piece of moulding beside a sidelight at my front door. The Ring doorbell is too wide and stuck out beside the moulding and you could see the back of the device when looking out of the window. Also, there is a brick ledge beside the moulding that the Ring was up against, which blocked about 90 degrees of the camera. With that, I could only see people who were standing directly in front of the door, which was a concern. I ended up returning the device and will wait for another model that is possibly slimmer in the future.

This doorbell gives a fisheye-type picture when rung or in response to motion. I decreased the motion zone distance, to decrease frequent false alarms. And I can see exactly when the newspaper is delivered, in the morning! Video is pretty clear, 720p.

I purchased the Ring security door bell a few months ago. It's a great security product & easy to install. The Ring App for Iphone makes it very convenient to view video images of whom is close to your porch door and/or ringing your door bell from anywhere you are. Great product!!

I absolutely love this thing. It was very easy to install. There was an issue with the original one, but I called the company's CS department and they quickly shipped me a replacement and this one works as advertised. I high recommend this if you need someway to see your porch without opening your door.

Pros: Ease of use and setup. Cons: Literally set off by every vehicle that passes by. Also, the Ring Forum, many people on there seem to think that its a forum to vent about youths doing "ding, dong, ditch" or suspicious people walking by without any reason why they are suspicous...or 'GUNSHOTS' even though its during New Years Eve or the Fourth of July. It gets annoying. So, terrific doorbell, but there are others out there that dont charge a 'cloud storage' fee, yet works just as good.

I was really looking forward to using this at my new townhome. Unfortunately because of its size I couldn't replace the original doorbell with it. And I'm not allowed to mount it to the brick wall next to the door. I'm investigating the Ring Pro now because of its smaller size.

Camera is a good idea. Monitors your entryway and alows you to identify who is at your doorway and speak to them whether you are home are not. The main issue I have is that at times it takes longer to respond than is practical for answering doorbell

I took advantage of purchasing the RING Doorbell during the BLACK FRIDAY SALES and not only did I save some money, but RING truly has a great product here. I recommend to anyone who wants to add some diy security measures at their home or business and also setup is so simple....

As I read in reviews before purchasing, the idea is great, but it needs some improvement. I had my eye on the ring for a long time before I finally took the plunge and bought the kit with a doorbell, two stick up cameras, and a chime. The doorbell pretty much works as advertised, no complaints. The stick up cameras don't always send a notification, and when they do, it's about 5 minutes late half the time. When I tried to use live view on any of the cameras, it wasn't available on any of the cameras. I had to email support for them to activate live view by using the MAC ID of each camera and sending it an update which they did immediately. Additionally, the range doesn't seem to be that good for the Wi-Fi signal. I was limited to about 20 feet of my router. Outside of that, the video was very choppy. Lastly, ring makes you pay for a subscription to their video recording service, which gets expensive when you have to pay for each camera. $3 per camera per month, or $30 per year per camera. For my kit, that's $90 a year, on top of the $63 a month I pay ADT. Speaking of ADT, I was excited to find out that ADT and ring and partnered and you could use ring with ADT pulse. Well, that's really an overstatement. All you can do is switch from one app to the other, within the app, without closing one and just opening the other. It's not like your ring cameras are integrated with the pulse app and you can switch between all of your cameras live view, as you can with ADT pulse. Nope, can't do that. And live view from the battery powered stick up cameras takes about two minutes before the camera actually starts streaming to your device. By then, it's probably too late to see what you were hoping to see. When/if they get all of these issues ironed out, ring will be an excellent product. Right now though, it is the best thing on the market for what it is.

This product is a great way to always be home for anyone who comes to the door. If the person at the door is stealing a package off the doorstep, you have video of him to report to the police and to send out to anyone interested. The video is clear and sound is there as well.

I decided to buy a ring doorbell because it was 50 dollars cheaper for Black Friday. I've had it since and it's working great. I am able to see who's at my front door from my phone even though I'm at work. Helps me screen people. We also like to know when our packages arrive so we are able to see that through the camera on the ring. It was also pretty simple to set up. We just followed the instructions. The only issue was connecting the ring device to my wifi network. I had to phone the ring customer service department for that. Otherwise, it's a great gadget. I'm loving it so far.

I'm very happy with the ease of installation and operation - far easier than I imagined it could be. The app will walk you through every step. There are a couple of issues that caused me to drop the rating to average. You're out of luck if you want to store your video unless you buy into the monthly storage subscription. I'd much rather have the ability to store my video somewhere on my home network. Accessing the Ring through the Internet is spotty maybe 1/3 of the time. Sometimes the connection attempt will just hang without any time out or warning messages. This is obviously a well thought out system and the convenience is fantastic. I'm ready to buy another for the back door.

Love our Ring Doorbell, but if you live right near a major street, or a busy sidewalk you're going to find that it alerts you every time a car drives by, or someone walks in front of your home. If your front door is set back, or at an angle to the street, Ring will be fabulous for alerting you to anyone stepping on your front porch. We now have it set to just alert us when someone rings the bell. Before we saw all the cars driving by, which was a nuisance. Hoping they can fix that! Also, remember to charge the unit BEFORE you install it. Otherwise, its quick and easy to install.

For the price we paid $ 99 it was worth it for an extra eye on who comes near our house especially at Christmas time as we had many packages delivered. It can be annoying getting the adjustment right and with the snow and wind it goes off a lot.
