I constantly am getting motion alerts for cars that drive by even though my zones are set to the lowest. I wish those worked a little better. This is the first gen Ring and I'm sure it's better in later versions. Don't buy this for more than $100

Purchased for my step dad. There were some kinks with setup and I had to teach him to use it! He likes it a lot as he travels often and wants to protect his home. I have them as well! The battery does die often based on the motion sensor. Thinking of getting a solar panel. However, the camera is very clear and you can see so much! I also like the neighborhood feature. For my stepdad, it’s not as easy to use. For me, I’d give it a 5!

I've tried for over an hour to affix the "ring" to the mounting bracket. I called customer service (during published hours) and was on hold for 10 minutes when an automated message came on to leave my name, email address, phone number and reason for the call. I did so and 4 hours later still no call back yet. On Ring.zendesk.com support page "What If I Can't Get The Ring on The Mounting Bracket?" it states ..."If you are still having difficulties with the bracket mounted on the wall, be sure to align the hooks on the bracket with the unit then push it in and apply pressure downwards. It requires a blend of force and finesse."... Apparently I lack the finesse required. I'm returning the product to Best Buy tonight for a refund. I would only recommend this product to anyone that thinks they have the proper finesse to mount it. By the way, I now have 4 holes in my wall from where the mounting bracket screws were removed.

I really like the idea in theory. I had a package stolen off my porch and wanted to get a porch camera. Ring was the most popular brand so after lots of resesrch I invested in their ecosystem. I got one for front and back doors. When they are working great they are pretty nice but more times than not they take so long to respond the person at the front door is gone or you only see their backs walking away. I got a wifi extender for my tiny house just in case but doesn't seem to help much. My internet can stream HD video no problem but has difficulties connecting to the Ring in a timely manner. Its really hit or miss and it usually misses when people come to the door but works perfectly when its me coming or leaving...nice. The battery life is also not great set on normal activity (which it recommends) so make sure you get the Ring 2 with quick removable battery and an extra battery (30 dollars) because it will last 3 weeks to a month. One more thing is when it does catch motion at your door the video is stored on their servers and can take 15-30 min before you can view and download it. Sometimes you need to see what it was immediately. There has got to be a better way that is affordable.

This is a great device. It was so very easy to install. I have been using it for a month now and have not had one single issue. Amazing how the UPS drivers all react to it by waving, giving the peace sign, etc. I love this device.

The RIng is close to perfect but not quite. I love the functionality and ease of use within the app and recently installed the Ring Pro after owning the original Ring. The 1080p is better than the 720p but not a ton. The design on the pro is more compact and sleek. Overall I absolutely love this product but since installing the Pro I have had a few technical issues which have been worked out by the automatic over the air firmware updates. The only thing that I wish it had was the ability to communicate with other devices (Ecobee3, Hue, etc.) Highly recommended in it's current state though.

I answered the front door from the Virgin Islands. Works well on that front. Set up instructions not the best. Keep messing with it and it will eventually get there. Pros: works well, camera is good. "Ring"s on smartphone when someone is at the door pushing button and people are not sure if you're there or not. Loved it. It's a gotta have anywhere I live now. Cons: sensitivity camera fields do not work well and gives false movement even when set to the minimum. Since every truck that drives by sets the camera on to record, battery life is not as long as I would like.

So after looking for a bit I decided to buy a few of the Ring doorbells. For $100.00 (on sale) they are worth it but for the list of $180.00 I probably wouldn't. They work great, easy to install, and kinda fun. The 720P is not that impressive.

Caught this on sale on Blk Friday. Easy to install. So far, so good. FYI prior to purchase and install, make sure wi-fi is on same floor. If not, need to purchase extensor. I didn't need it but thought it would be help to know. Easy to install. App is easy too. Good buy.

I recently purchased the Ring doorbell. It's running on the battery and I only get about 2 weeks worth of activity before having to recharge battery. I call Ring to see if that was normal. The Rep. pulled up my account activity. I had about 200 activities during those 2 weeks. He said normal activities should be about 300 activities a month and I should have about 30% battery life left. He recommended me giving it a hard reset lus recharging the battery before I a return it to Best Buy or return it directly to the Ring under its warranty program. We will see how it does in the near future. Hardwiring it is the way to go if it's possible. It my case I can't hard wire it.

The Ring Doorbell is extremely easy to install. Probably take longer to install the app than to install in your home. The only thing is that it takes a minute for the Ring app to load on your phone so it’s not really instantaneous answering.

Just installed as it only took 15 min or so. Did use the hard wire options so I will never have to charge the battery.. Love the fact I can see videos of my door area

I was looking for something not terribly complicated that would allow me to monitor my front door when we aren’t home. This works perfect so far! I was able to hardwire it to my existing doorbell, so I shouldn’t have to worry about changing batteries. Loving it so far!

We were looking for a tool to enhance our home security system. The Ring Wi-Fi Video Doorbell is just what we needed. Any time anyone rings our doorbell, we are able to see who it is and speak to them, even when we are not at home. The video on the camera is excellent.

This is my MOST significant purchase this year. It's amazing! The video doorbell, in conjunction with my alarm system, provides me with peace of mind and strong sense of security. Its given me the ability to be in two places at one time...well, at least it feels that way! I can answer the door electronically, regardless of whether or not I'm at home. It's very easy to install and an overall GREAT product! I've been talking about it nonstop and have urged family, friends and co-workers to make the same purchase.

Picked this up on Black Friday and have been using since. No issues with WiFi connection and the camera captures great video. Great to answer door bell while away and find out who’s at your door. Paired with Ring doorbell. Thanks Best Buy for fast and free shipping!

Great Product. Does what you expect, and very useful for the holiday season, with all the package deliveries from UPS, DHL, etc. Visually appealing, provides a clear picture of front door activity, and the annoucement signal is pleasing to the ears. Highly recommend.

We picked this one up as more of a security blanket than anything else, but once we got it, we've gotten great use out of it. I opted to install it directly to the doorbell wiring (you can opt for installing without it), so it can maintain a constant charge. It took some time, since I've never done it before, but the instructions are very user friendly and tells you everything you need to do. Since then, the camera works great, and now we know anytime someone's at the house.

I am a bit disappointed that you need to but a subscription to use the product properly, but it is a very helpful tool and is everything I expected.
