battery not charging - almost 3 yrs old

The new models have batteries that can easily be replaced. This model does not appear to have a replaceable battery.

We had an existing doorbell so it was quick to connect Ring to the existing wiring. But, we have a covered porch so the video feed contrast is washed out a majority of the time. If you don't purchase their $30/year subscription you cannot view recorded videos -- you'll only be able to view events in real-time. There also isn't any option to use Ring on your home network. You must connect it to the cloud using Ring's app / website. When Ring detects motion or someone rings the doorbell, Ring sends a push notification to your phone. If you don't acknowledge it in time, you're out of luck. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to connect, other times it doesn't connect at all (and simply displays a black screen with a spinning loading icon). I'm not unhappy enough to go through the hassle of returning Ring to the store, but I definitely wouldn't buy again. I regret not waiting for a more mature product that easily integrates with other home security software. The app needs improvement.
