Easy to setup great for what I needed would recommend

This is a really cool concept but it missed the mark. This doorbell does not attach to brick walls very well. Even when you can get it mounted, the doorbell does not securely mount onto the base. The doorbell did not always communicate to my phone when it was rang and the video didn't always load either.

I bought the cam-bell because we needed a doorbell. The camera function helps a lot since we have no window facing out the front. Now everyone can see whos at the door and if we should open or not. Downside is you need a subscrition for cloud storage so live view is all you get after 30 day trial.

Ring doorbell is easy to install and setup. We had an existing doorbell so it was quick to connect Ring to the existing wiring. But, we have a covered porch so the video feed contrast is washed out a majority of the time. If you don't purchase their $30/year subscription you cannot view recorded videos -- you'll only be able to view events in real-time. There also isn't any option to use Ring on your home network. You must connect it to the cloud using Ring's app / website. When Ring detects motion or someone rings the doorbell, Ring sends a push notification to your phone. If you don't acknowledge it in time, you're out of luck. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to connect, other times it doesn't connect at all (and simply displays a black screen with a spinning loading icon). I'm not unhappy enough to go through the hassle of returning Ring to the store, but I definitely wouldn't buy again. I regret not waiting for a more mature product that easily integrates with other home security software. The app needs improvement.

This is one of the most disappointing smart home products I have purchased. My main issues are: 1. The video quality, I knew it was only 720p going in, but still its so pixelated. Basically useless 2. The delay, on the rare occasion someone actually pushes the button, they are gone before the video connects. 3. The battery lasts about a month, with virtually no use. 4. Unless you pay the subscription its essentially useless. Yes you can answer when someone presses the button, but as discussed above you usually only see someone walking away if at all.

It's an awesome doorbell. Can answer the doorbell even if I'm across town.
