This model is pretty good but if I could do it over again (and had the money) I would get the Ring 2. The picture is alright. I don't know how they can say that is 720p because it looks like vhs quality. For the most part it works but sometimes you can't connect to the doorbell and have to wait until later to see what's going on. And the motion detector is way too sensitive. It senses cars driving on the street even though I put the setting on 5 feet from the door. Also note that you have to pay a monthly fee of $3 to record video past the first month.

Does what it says. Requires membership if you want recordings to the cloud, otherwise you get 30 days free and Live view only afterwards. Resolution is 720p and will appear less depending on signal strength. Will require a WiFi extender to get a good signal otherwise it will lag really bad. No connection at all. I purchased the Chime Pro that serves as a Bell and extender exclusively for the Ring products only. This means it helps boost Ring only. No other devices. Works perfectly now, but resolution is still less than 720p. I’m ok with it since I have other 1080p cameras set up at same location of Front door. The intercom feature is a what I really love. In the end, it’s worth the cash spent. I recommend the Ring Doorbell as well as the Chime Pro.

This was definitely a great purchase with the holidays coming up, the theft that has been going around with packages and mail being taken while you are not home. Great buy. I bought two more for family for Christmas!

Motion detection is very useful. Live feed works great. Be Careful not to turn the motion detection too far out because it can sense leaves blowing around in your yard. Very easy to send videos to Friends and family.

It is very easy to install it and set it up. It has a user friendly app. and everything works good, but the video quality is not good and it has a poor wifi reception. I put it 20 ft away from my router and the video was intermittent and showing squares. Then I used a wifi extender and the video was continuous but the image quality was not good enough to distinguish a person's face few feet away. I tested at night in a very illuminated area. I returned to store to buy a real camera with mic and speaker, hoping I will get a better video resolution.

Was a little finicky during the initial setup and had to factory reset it. May just be me but was really confused about being hardwired and it has a battery that needs charged? Anyways have not had to charge it since first charge but have live view turned off. The motion warnings get annoying on the lowest setting but that plus knowing who is at my front door was the reason of purchasing in the first place! Highly recommend!!

Bought the wired version so I could use my existing (mechanical) doorbell + not have to charge the Ring. Could not get it to work even after numerous hours on the phone with tech support (who were friendly). They finally told me it's probably a bad unit and go exchange it, so I did and problem solved. Product works as advertised. Installation is very easy. Downloading and installing app and setting it all up was easy. The audio is very good but the video is average and the motion settings are not very good. The unit doesn't start recording until someone is right at my front door, but does a good job of getting cars driving down the street (50 feet away). I've played with the settings longer than I wanted to (or should have had to). Why can't it get someone walking up the sidewalk to my house? I've started at the curb and walked to my front door fast, slow, somewhere in the middle and it only starts recording when I'm standing at the front door, literally 12" away. Still, the unit is good, tech support good, supporting apps good. If I buy another one I'll go ahead and buy the Pro to get better video and hopefully better motion settings.

Incredible quality, super easy to set up and the service behind it is not expensive. Great security feature.

I love our Ring Video Doorbell. It is so easy to setup and offers options that will suit any users needs. Porch Bandits are having a lot more difficulty after these being introduced. Thanks for a great product RING.

We have had one for 6 months and love it, gives us a great sense of security knowing when someone is at the front door. The app works wonderfully. We bought another as a gift and hope they love it as much as we do.

I definitely recommend this... my only issue is that the battery dies quickly if not hard wired. It says the battery lasts 6 months to a year however after 30 days it needed to be charged.

The system works well for what we need which is a remote doorbell as hard wire couldn’t be heard throughout the house. Only complaint is lag between motion detection and camera turning on.

The Ring doorbell camera works great. I love being able to pull up the live view and speak through the intercom to any visitors. The ability to change the distance the camera covers, is great, especially if you have a lot of traffic in front of your house. Otherwise, the notifications might drive you crazy. The only disadvantage is how long it takes to pull up the feed after a notification. However, this is due to slow internet and is no fault of the Ring device.

This has a great picture and the cloud storage is a cheap but nice option. The only gripe is that connection time can be delayed sometimes, even on the same wifi network. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this.

Purchased for a parent with limited view of front porch area. Works well, picture is crisp and the ability to share with another person as a back up is a plus. Wi-fi needed an extra boost otherwise works great.

The doorbell is extremely easy to set up when only using the battery. If you have alerts set at home and on your phone it drains the battery a little faster. 6-12 month battery life is a tad inflated, so I recommend hardwiring the doorbell. Also, although the picture isn't awful I would recommend the ring doorbell 2 to get the 1080p resolution. The app and the neighborhood crime fighting platform is really helpful.

Good product but is very sensitive to motion. Our alerts go off constantly on garbage day. Also, sometimes it doesn’t record right away and we only get recording of someone walking away

I love our new Ring Doorbell. It has been very helpful during this holiday season not only protecting my packages that have been left at our door but it allows me to answer the door from anywhere in the world.

This is a great product. I have used it many times while not at home. I even confronted the USPS man as he dumped one of my packages on the corner of the box, potentially damaging the contents found within. Easy DIY installation.

This door Bell takes great pictures. Is very easy to install and charge.it does take at least 4 hr to charge
