My issue is what the company does not explain after laying out $200 to purchase their product. If after your 90-day free trial you do not pay the $3 a month or $36 a year to join the cloud you will not be able to see any recorded videos unless you answer the alert inside of 40 seconds. I am certain you can think of many instances where you may not be by your phone and capable of answering and alert inside of 40 seconds. Not fully informing customers about this situation does not make for good customer relations. Now you can make your investment fully informed beforehand.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. You are correct, with or without subscribing to the Cloud Video Recording, your alert notification will last for 40 seconds. If you are not subscribed to the Cloud Video Recording your videos will not be saved or stored to view at a later time, however you are still able answer alerts in real time. We do also provide more information on our website at Ring.com/cloudrecording. I apologize for any miscommunication but we will work on providing even more transparency to our customers as we can in the future.
