However, once set up with your wireless router and the base plate attached to your outside wall, attaching the camera/door bell button to the base plate is very difficult. In trying to mount the camera unit, it popped out of my hand and dropped on our welcome mat. Good bye $200. Be sure to get the extended warranty.

Battery does not stay charged in the cold weather even when connected to the doorbell transformer. May work better in a warm climate.

Extremely poor quality

Today someone came to my door and it never recorded them or showed they were present. I sent the one back to Amazon because I mistakenly purchased the nickel vomited one for the same price and was unable to do the exchange. The one from Amazon said 3rd generation and the one from Best Buy isn’t lusting it as that do I’m guessing the one I purchased from Best Buy is a much older one based upon the poor video quality.
