It does make you alert as to the activity going on near the front door or where you chose to install it. We are adjusting to being recorded every time we go through the front door.

I would recommend upgrading to the ring doorbell 2. Although 720 is considered high definition the 1080 P is much clearer and the ring 2 is packed with more features. The app is easy to use.

It is a great product when it works but after a while it started dropping connection. Once it drops connection you have to open it and reconfigure which is painful. Talked to support but they are very reluctant to do anything. They complain it is due to my router which I have replaced and I get my smart lock and other devices to work just fine. I am sure it is the built in wifi antenna with the product that is weak. Tired of resetting everyday. Looking for alternative.
