It is a great product when it works but after a while it started dropping connection. Once it drops connection you have to open it and reconfigure which is painful. Talked to support but they are very reluctant to do anything. They complain it is due to my router which I have replaced and I get my smart lock and other devices to work just fine. I am sure it is the built in wifi antenna with the product that is weak. Tired of resetting everyday. Looking for alternative.

The first one was defective so I took it back and exchanged it for a second one. The second one was also defective. I called the company that makes them and they walked me though set up and also agreed that it was defective. The “Ring” company told me to either send it to them, or take it back where I bought it. After running back and forth, I decided not to exchange it for a third one. I took it back to Best Buy and I was told by customer service that because it was not within the 15 DAY return period that I could only get a store credit. It had been 30 days. It was a defective unit which is not my fault and now I am stuck with a Best Buy store credit that I may never use, as I really never shop there! I think this is really bad customer service since the device was defective! I will never shop at best buy again and I will be glad to tell my friends about their bad customer service policies too!
