Worked somewhat for two days, then crapped out. When you log into to check the camera, it was all garbled & distorted. Plus, the video was choppy & slow when it did work, there was a delay between motion detection, so say someone walks to your door, walks away, waits a few seconds, then turns around and runs back to your door, this ring would miss them due to its reset delay between detected motion. Don't do it. Ring blew it with me, got the Nest Hello & did not regret it.

Its a great beginner camera. I wish i would have purchased the 2 or 3 because the image is gritty at the 720 pixel and i hate takine it off the charge

This video doorbell is really neat in that it tells you when someone is at your front door or senses motion. It is not neat that you have to pay a monthly fee to see past recordings.

The image that I get is very fuzzy. It also runs out of power too soon. I would have gotten the next generation of Ring if I had known the drawbacks. .

The doorbell mike does not function well. If one is upstairs and the doorbell rings, we cannot communicate with the person on the outside. We cannot hear them speak and they cannot hear us, even with the volume all the way. Since it was installed where the old doorbell was, the image is not right in front of the camera, so we have a lot of glare and the image is not very clear at all. I would recommend this to a friend IF the image and the mike were better. That's why I am saying yes to the recommendation. It is with these conditions.

Although the app seemed to install okay in win10 I got a recurring "error for unknown cause" when I tried to set it up. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail. I finally returned the device.

The delay on camera and disrupted noises instead of streamline are only negatives

the smart video doorbell was not what we expected it to be. The carmera displayed the front door only. If someone walked away but was still at home the camera did not detect. Therefore, the item was returned.

I have been working for almost a month with Ring to try to get my doorbell to work properly. I can't get beyond the 5 second delay between the time something comes close to my door and the time it rings and starts recording.

Awesome product to own but does not give enough control to the owner. Ring needs to allow the owner to have more control to determine when recording will start and finish.

Because I could not watch video all day any day live video the D-Link you can watch my video all day without having to pay a monthly fee so I did not like the doorbell

My ring doesn't stay charged long and then sometimes it charges all the way to 100% sometimes it charges to 50%. It takes it almost 8 hours to charge and I've even made sure to charge it with the right square piece and it still is crappy. Sometime it captures video and sometimes it won't record at all.. I will not buy another ring product after all the problems I've had with this ring

For the price, this should have been designed better with more features. The audio coming out of the speaker is terrible and you have to shim the box to aim the camera. The camera should be adjustable like its predecessor.

Easy to install and works well except for the speed of the videos. Thought it was our internet but not the case. Takes so long the visitor is gone by the time I can look at the video.

This is a good product but does not work if there is direct Sunlight on it or over head light on the porch. So I had to return. I would not recommend this if your house faces West or have Lighting above the door.

We were so happy with this door bell for a month then it seamed unable to charge. App support was just a continuous loop of the same unhelpful steps.

Disappointed to learn that it only allows me to monitor live - won't record and catalogue. It does have a long battery life and it's worth considering if you have time and ability to access the app frequently

Have had the camera for about 3mo, have had to charge it 4 times. Once the 1mo free trial runs out, it stops working properly. You can still live view and get notifications of motion, but good luck viewing anything happening, 9 times out of 10 the leading time that all of a sudden got really long after the free trial takes away any chance of seeing anything. Finally, god forbid you drop one of the tiny screws. Because it is $20 for a replacement. Complete trash...

Security screws will strip and won’t work to secure your device. Ring need to really improve this issue . I have had this problem with two different devices already.

Purchased as a safety measure for my wife, and it does what it says it can do. Only 3 stars for me, because the mount point for me is a metal exterior door, and the kit provided doesn't account for that.
