there is too much delay between the ring and receiving the ring on my phone. My neighbour has one and has the same problem

I like this camera but even with the wedge I get notifications for everything so half the time I don’t even check it. It does serve its purpose for when my doorbell rings though.

I really like all that it does, e.g. camera, motion detector, phone app. However, the 720 resolution isn't that good, not very clear. If I were you I'd opt for the upgraded version @ 1080.

I wanted to like the RING so bad but it’s unreliable and you can never get a picture of the person walking toward the camera it’s good for a doorbell notification

It’s good for monitoring your home everywhere. I don’t like the blurriness which makes it hard to see a clear picture. It could be a lot better picture quality.

My main let down is that at times i get a notification of motion and i have to wait for the video to stop being processed in order for me to view it.. and the lag in connectivity

I was told that you didn’t have to pay for monitoring that you could monitor it yourself. That has not been the case. Evidently that only lasts for a number of days then you have to sign up for the service or you can’t see video. You have to hirry up and try to connect as soon as you are notified because they won’t let you see the video. It is really useless to us at this point. Very disappointed! And also stuck with something that doesn’t really function any more. That is why 2 stars.

After replacing my Ring with a new one I finally got the motion to work. Once you get the motion working this seems to be an pretty good device. But I suggest you sign up for cloud recording for $30.00 a year.

This item did not work for me, but in fairness, my internet connection speed does not meet their minimum. The problem I had was unusable video, but again, it was almost certainly because of my internet speed.

Do not buy this as it is just blurry. Get the doorbell 2 with 1080 pic. We experimented and the 780 pic model my kid had to get all the way up to camera to see who it is. Just a few steps back it was all blurry. Not really worth it if you can't see who it is. Exchanged for doorbell 2 model and it's crystal clear. I can see to the road.

Its ok. It does do what is advertise, however, it is hard to calibrate. Phone interface can be tricky when someone rings the bell

Installation was simple enough but the setup is not intuitive and getting the notifications dialed in took several attempts, even now if there is a loud truck driving by it will trigger the motion alert.

I like that it has some personalization to it. But its terrible quality during the day and at night. Its inconsistent with catching motion and the doorbell doesnt always work. The app doesnt load most of the time or it takes way too long and you miss who is at your door if youre not home. I cancelled my subscription, was a waste of money

I had my ring for one month and it died. Waiting for a free replacement in the mail. They were nice enough to send meca free wedge kit to mount the new one when I get it.

This item is now absolutely dwarfed by Ring’s new camera sensors, to the point where I moved it to my back door as a camera and bought a brand new one.

It’s a great doorbell but they don’t tell you that you will need the chime to go with it. Couldn’t hatdwire it. When my WiFi goes out.. i don’t have a functional doorbell.

The video quality is not the best, I was on a budget when I got this, I should of got the pro, I was disappointed in this, it never shows me the full 30 seconds of video it always freezes

I bought this doorbell and it worked for a day. I called ring support they were no help, they had me do test to my Internet then said I need to call my Internet provider. A couple of days later the doorbell just stopped working so I took it back and got another one. The second doorbell didn't work to begin with I even went and got a wifi extender and put it at the door and no luck so I decided to just put my old doorbell back on and take it back to the store.

Works well, but we had to site it in close to the door because of sun reflection from the houses across the street. When cars would go by and break the sunlight, it would ring.

Thought I was buying a same as first 2nd unit for May back door. Front unit has a removable rechargeable battery and this one has no removable battery. I purchased a Barack up battery in order to always have a fully charged battery. The price was the same but one came from Amazon (1st unit) and the other from Best Buy. Which clearly was not the @best buy”. First unit had a wedge to install behind the unit, 2nd had nothing like that just a flat plate... not completely satisfied at all
