It’s okay at everything and great at nothing. It’s really easy to install as it comes with everything you need to install on a flat-ish surface like a door frame or siding. Video quality in daylight is so-so and frankly very horrible at night but I knew that before I purchased it. (Ring cams are known for their horrible execution of night vision). It does pick up most motion but is prone to a lot of false positives. One thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have the 3 sec buffering so it usually records a couple seconds late even though I’ve it hardwired to my existing doorbell. If you have an existing doorbell and can afford the pro, you should bite the bullet and get that instead but if you want something affordable and don’t mind missing a couple seconds of video and can deal with a few more false alarms, this would do just fine.

Love the Ring easy to install and works great with the app. Good alternative to the pricier systems that our alarm company offered.

I had been looking at this type of device, particular one, this on for a while. I was happy when it popped up in my Best Buy. Since my purchase, I know of at least 2 other people that witnessed mine in action and purchased their own. One even paid me to install theirs. I watch my son head out for school every morning, knowing whether he is on time or not. I have spoken to delivery people during the holidays, all while I am away from home. The motion trigger alerts me to package drop off, stray cats, and strangers passing by. Great tool in Home Defense.

It does sense motion-whenever ANYTHING drives, walks, bikes, the wind blows by. I've tried adjusting the settings-still registers. I also did not know that you had to sign up for the protedtion plan or it will not save any of the videos for review. It's not very much money, but I assumed if you bought the doorbell, you would be able to check back on who may have been at your door without paying extra. It also does not fit on the aluminum surrounding my door-where my old doorbell was. It's too big. It does work if someone rings the bell-I can check it on "live view" to see who is there. That's primarily why I bought it-my porch is not visible from the front door or any window. It's been up for a few weeks now, and it's ok, but I would not buy another.

Ring is by far the best camera doorbell on the market. The only drawback is the battery charge. Other then that works like a charm.

This is a must-have item for the security conscious. It’s fairly easy to set up at the alerts when someone approaches are awesome.

Only has a 30 free trial then after you have to purchase a yearly plan to be able to view camera live and play back rings & motion

During the holiday season with so many packages being delivered & left on the porch it was nice to see what to expect in advance of arriving home.

Liking this product so far! I have been able to see when people are on my porch and even talk to them. We needed one that did not require wiring, so Ring was the choice for us. My only gripe is that I live on a somewhat busy street, so we get a LOT of motion alerts even though we have it set on the smallest monitoring area.

Totally awesome works great videos good and never gives me an issue so far just got it but love it. Recommend.

I couldn't be more impressed. I was skeptical at first, but after a quick call to customer support it was up and running. We went out of town for a week and was aware of every human and non-human that came to the door. It was fun to yell at the neighbor's cat. Seriously, the whole package works great. The motion detection is fast and the notification is within a couple seconds. Your videos are available immediately using their app. If you want, you can enable live view if you just want to check things out.

This model is sufficient for the money; however, the video quality isn’t great! I have the pro, and it’s video quality is awesome! In this instant, I needed something that was relatively inexpensive and didn’t have to be wired, so it worked for what I really needed it for.

Best door bell ever, you can answer your door from anywhere and don’t have to be home and it’s a security device at the same time

This product allows me to direct deliveries to my designated areas and see who has approached my front door when I am not around.

I am glad I decided to buy this product, I thought I would be complicated but it's not . I am not too tech savy

Enjoy the features of seeing who rings the doorbell and tracking activity in the front yard. Plant to also purchase a ring flood light for the side of the home. I do need to adjust the sensor as it picks up all vehicles that pass in front of the home which can get annoying.

The footage is okay but at night our faces are completely white and you can't tell who the person is. It also said the battery would last 6 months to a year. I've charged it twice and I bought it cyber Monday. I do enjoy being able to see outside anytime though. I caught my neighbor dumping a cat off at my door (not mine) and without ring I would have never saw her lol.

This is a bell that allows you to answer you door from anywhere and see who is at the door. Awesome.

The ring doorbell is great as it provides me the ability to see anything near my door and my driveway. The picture quality is also very good as well as the sound quality. My only issue is that the consistent notifications wear my cell phone battery down quicker than expected.
