Not bad for our first smart doorbell but photo quality is definitely impacted depending on how much sunlight it’s wxposed to.

The ring is a great concept. The camera could be better though. It’s a little blurry. Still recommend to keep your house safe.

GREAT LITTLE ALERT BUT THE IMAGE SEEMS POOR. THE SUN IS CONSTANTLY SETTING IT OFF IN THE MORNING. WISH IT HAD AN UPGRADE IN SOFTWARE.

Adjusted to shortest range, but still drove me crazy with notifications and no one there Returned it. Now I have holes in wall to patch.

I returned this product for a refund after using it approximately two weeks. Video alerts when someone rang the doorbell or activated the motion detector were either delayed such that the individual at the door had already left or the alert didn't occur at all. The "Live View" function never worked. There is no way to adjust the contrast so half of the video picture was washed out in areas where the light was brighter. I called their support services twice during installation. The first person was unfamiliar with doing the installation using a Windows 10 Operating System. The help provided by their service reps was minimal at best. This would have been an excellent product if it had just worked as advertised.

Camera angle is great. Easy install. Video quality isn't the best. Takes to long to load. Going to switch to the Nest Hello

I think the first version of the ring doorbell is a decent purchase for my parents. The camera’s clarity is ok.

Works well for a deterrent, to help keep packages on your porch. The picture is OK for the price, the picture has a fisheye lens look.

Connection is delayed and slow to receive. Wi Fi connection has to be relocated for better reception

When we first got it it worked great. Now there is a delay in the alert. Only had it for a few years

Very useful for people coming to door, but not hi res enough to be used to catch porch theives.

Bought it if January 2019 and had to replace it in July of July 2020 because of interference with the video camera, can not see the face of the person at the door. Called ring and at least the are giving me a discount to purchase a new second generation ring video door bell with a discount. I would think it would last longer than just a little over a year.

I have had my ring for about 14 months. I recently charged it up to 100% as I was going to be out of town for two weeks. I have been gone for one week and the ring batterie is down to 7%. The motion settings are at minimum, and the WiFi signal is very strong. I am very disappointed and of course it is two months outside of the warranty.

This was a replacement for the original one purchased, which ended up malfunctioning. Still not making the doorbell ring, though

This wasn't what I wanted but I purchase two. One of my daughter and one for myself. Had a hard time drilling through my brick wall.

I purchased the Ring Video doorbell after researching security plans from major home security companies. For my needs, I decided that Ring would fit the bill. And, it does. Very easy to set up, the app works with both my cell phone and my PC. It works basically like an intercom system, so that I can see who is at my door, and I am able to speak with whoever is there, whether I am at home or not. If you want to keep your videos obtained through the Cloud for Ring, it does help to purchase their plan. For me, I went with the Premium Plus, though there is a less expensive plan. The only problem that I have experienced is that my doorbell completely died after having it for only a year and two months. Don't know why this happened. However, I spoke to a Ring associate, and he will be sending me another doorbell free of charge. The new doorbell is supposed to arrive within 5 business days. Hopefully, the same thing doesn't happen again. We shall see. Overall, I am very happy with my Ring products ( I also have a security cam) and the level of customer service that Ring offers. For a DIY security system, the price is very reasonable, and does give me a certain piece of mind knowing that my property is being monitored. I would recommend Ring products to anyone that doesn't want the expense of contracting with, and having to deal with other home security companies.

This is the low end of the ring doorbells. The quality of the video is very grainy. I would opt for a better one.

They should inform people prior to purchase there is a monthly service fee and that reception with your wifi could be an issue to deal with

Does not work as expected. Long delay between motion detection and recording by video camera. Range setting for motion detection is inconsistent.
