This is a very common problem with Ring Doorbell. When I called the customer service, the agent just tell me that my chime is not compatible, and he tried to upsell other ring production. It is not a honest way.

It's easy to set up but it lost my wifi after 2 days and to reconnect you need to remove the top cover with a tiny eyeglass screwdriver to access the orange button to reset the wifi. I had trouble with another brand doorbell staying connected as well, but no problems with any other devices so not sure why I have this problem with doorbells.

I also had issues when the app showing motion at the front door and then taking over 1 minute for the video to be viewed. Returning it today and researching other options.

On occasion it chooses to work but it's so slow that Those same dozen of kids could form a line and ring the bell one at a time and by the time it notifies us those kids have to be at least the next state over if not further. On rarer occasion the doorbell rings accurately and quickly. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

My doorbell is approx 20 ft from my Front Door so I purchased a Netgear Wifi Extender. After 2 hrs on the phone with Ring Customer Tech support, still no success. Premise is good but don't buy if your doorbell is not next to your door. Returned.
