Love this product. We have had great experiences with the Ring Doorbells and our Chime (all purchased in person at a BestBuy store). Our main requests for future versions would be live  video on demand and quicker start to motion recording. We purchased our first Ring three months ago with a chime. It worked out so well we bought another one as a sort of security cam for the back porch. Provides peace of mind. Very highly recommend both the Ring Doorbell and Chime. Note, we wish it had the following features: - video on demand - a quicker start to motion videos (we get a lot of deliveries, starting at the gate 15ft out, yet very rarely catch any person on camera) - as we get a lot of activity, on the Activity recordings, we wish it had:   - a date and timestamp on each video,    - video 'next' and 'back' feature to facilitate efficient review - on the main Recent Activity list   - wish it listed activity for each device in a different color Some slight less than perfect performance areas in our experiences : - often get a motion chime yet there is a lag when notified on our phone. - wish there was a way to have more captured at angle down from camera (when package left on doorstep it is rarely in view) [doorbell is at the appropriate height for our entry, just doesn't show us if package was left] - we are renters with security motion lights placed by landlord. when some motion lights engage, video turns pink and is less clear. [This may be a motion light bulb issue, not a Ring issue] - we get a lot of activity, thus batteries require charging more frequently (but it is very very easy and convenient to recharge). - depending on weather, planes, cats, wind seem to set it off. Still worth it by far. So far our tech experience relates to the Chime (turned out to be an electrical wiring issue on our end, not a product issue) and the tech rep was great (responsive, thorough and professional). We are thrilled with the peace of mind offered by, and experienced this far, with the Ring Doorbell and Chime. Very highly recommend.

This is the worst product ever. It sets off our door bell randomly...most of the time it happens in the middle of night. We contacted Ring about the problem and they checked the history on our door bell and told us it did not happen. When a door bell goes off at 2 AM a person knows it but according to Ring it just did not happen. We figure they know they have faulty product. We attempted to return it to Best Buy but since we did not pay for the extended warranty they would not take it back. A word of warning ...Do NOT buy this product.

Difficult to receive door image on smart phone. I'm disappointed.

Would not connect with wireless network. Incompatible with my system

Returned the non working door bell. maybe it will tr again.

No matter the setting, I'll get notified of any car that drives past my house but I won't get any notifications of a PERSON STANDING AT MY FRONT DOOR! Also... if you don't subscribe to the cloud storage, you can't view any videos. So... it KINDA works. Just don't get your hopes up

There's no night vision. i was hoping for for a clearer image.

This was a great idea but you need excellent internet service to get this. We even moved our router closer to it in hopes it would work well. But no such luck. It rarely worked so we returned it while we could. I would love to try a new improved version!

THE VIDEO QUALITY IS ONLY IN 720 P SO IT COULD USE 1080P !!

I bought the ring doorbell camera a little over a year ago. I've given it 15 full months before writing this review. It is absolute garbage. My Wi-Fi signal is strong so there shouldn't be any problem and what I get from the ring is the backs of peoples head walking away or a car after its pulling out of the driveway or when somebody is walking off the property already.... Unless you stand at the front door for a few minutes it's not going to capture you...a total waste of 100 bucks.....i hate it.

The delay is awful. My internet is pretty good. If some one rings it takes for ever to get it to connect to respond. Motion detection is constant even after doing multiple configurations

I loved the concept of the Ring doorbell, ever since I saw it on Shark Tank a few years ago. At the BF sale price of $129, it seemed like a great bargain. It supposedly only takes 5 minutes to setup - BS. I'm a computer engineer with 30 years experience. It took me 10 aggravating tries and at least an hour to get it to finally connect right. Within minutes of getting connected to my network, I realized it was worthless. The picture is so poor, you can't make out what you're looking it. Forget about the sound, it's garbled noise. I'm returning it to the store. I really wanted this to work, for both my home and a small apartment complex I own. I thought what a simple solution. But I regret that I've wasted my time with this piece of junk!
