Works only half the time. And sometimes not at all.

The ring doorbell is an AMAZING doorbell! Although it is on the pricier side for a doorbell, it is so worth it if you don't have security cameras at home. Now, I know who is at my house, when I'm not even home, and who is at my house, when I am not expecting anybody at all. Also, the ring doorbell is so user friendly, and is extremely easy to set up. All you have to do is charge the doorbell, and then download the app on a mobile device, and follow the instructions. Personally, I think there is only one negative side to the ring. I think you should be able to look at the camera when ever you want, not just when somebody rings it, or if there is a motion. Overall, this doorbell is an amazing device.

When it was cold it would phantom ring. And then after that stopped would chime that there was motion when there was nothing. It would do this all hours of the day or night.

Hard to connect to bell wiring and I needed to replace my transformer and wiring to get it to work right - gave away as BB's return policy expired. Bought the cheaper simpler version and it works just fine without modification

Product is very useful for viewing who is at the door

This model was too big for my doorbell. I returned it and bought the pro model, which is much thinner and the correct size to fit my existing door bell size. This model only runs on AC power.

Very disappointed with the battery life. Will try one more time to see if a new one works. Definitely need a doorbell transformer before this wld be worth it.

Battery won't stay charged, always off line. Taken down so many times the clip on back has snapped off and it won't stay up. Only about a couple months old. What a RIP off!

Received this from a family member and after reviewing it’s our friends and comparing it to other options decided it wasn’t for us and returned it to the store. There are better options out there.

I never thought I would enjoy a doorbell this much. I hardwired it to my existing doorbell wiring and mounted it to the stucco wall. The doorbell I was replacing was much smaller and the stucco around it was a bit uneven so I used a little bit of stucco patch to smooth and flatten the area around where the Ring doorbell plate was going to be mounted and touched up the paint and it looks great and feels secure. It took a little bit of trial and error adjustments to get the motion sensitivity adjusted to my preference to avoid false signals, but to get the recording to start as people approach the door. It's nice to know who is at my front door when I am not at home.

Worked for about a week. Quit, then wouldn't take a charge. Tech support is the worst I have ever encountered.

Would give a one but this camera do not catch everything it's a lil blurry and it records and catch when it "feels" like it. As far as a doorbell yeah it's cool but recording sucks

Good idea a few flaws. To bad you cannot change the range of the sensing 30 feet for some homes is to big of an area. It’s driving my daughter crazy it’s notifying her and no one is at the front door.

Love the fact that you can see and speak to people with this doorbell but don't like that you have to pay a subscription for the video service. I didn't know about the service fee until installation- missed that in the about the product.

Love the Rind 1. Got it as a Christmas gift. Works well in the area I have it, however the ring to my phone is delayed.I would have given it a 5 but a few quirks...but still love it! Great picture quality. I can hear it ring, but to get to it, I need to go through my security to unlock my phone and then locate the app to try and answer. Total time is more than I would like when answering my door. I wish there was a way to bypass my phone lock, just to answer and see who is there? Similar to your phone alarm going off... I turn on the motion but for some reason, every time I look at it, it appears to have closed. I wish I had the notification sounds to my phone like the Neighborhood Watch. (That is pretty neat, but I assume I need to upload a video?) The movement it recorded but I am not notified. A setting maybe for notification sound? If you are concerned about getting in or out of your car, it is nice to know that it records me getting out of my car and getting into my car, in the event anyone came into the driveway without me seeing them. Looking to get another one for my front door too. Wanted a camera but not seeing great reviews on them??? Suggestions from anyone? I can send a video link if anyone needs one for clarity.

I’ve been trying to connect to the doorbell from my cellphone for three days straight but no luck. I contacted customer service but they couldn’t figure it out. I wish it will work as promised, but I guess I have to return it.

Was 4 Star - worked well except it would never recognize the smaller activity zone I set so received notification when every car passed in my neighborhood. Now, since I upgraded WiFi to Netgear Orbi mesh system, it doesn’t work at all yet every other smart item in my house works fine. I am a tech enthusiast, no expert, and reviewed the fixes to make this work but this is really above my skill set and don’t want to make complex changes that might stop all my other gear from working. Currently my ring is a $200 old school door bell.

If you want to drill holes in your concrete, think twice before you install this poor quality device. It doesn’t have night vision as well. Also, if you have steps, you have to buy additional pieces in order to have the camera face the correct position. Ring customer service will only help during their set hours, typically when one is at work. Lastly, they provide a concrete drill bit that will only work to drill 1-2 holes, then it’s useless. You have to drill 4 holes for installation, so plan on buying a $20 concrete drill bit to go with your purchase.

Works great as a doorbell but they don't tell you when you buy it. You have to join a subscription for $3 a month in definitely in order to see your recordings if not you get 28 days free
