Return Policy matches free trial so you cannot have it without plan to see what you bought. Once trial expires, you cannot return item and all you got is doorbell that has camera which access takes longer than patience of person on the door. So without plan there is no recordings not even a minute old. Totally useless with no plan. Don’t buy it if you assume that plan covers 30 days recording and you will have at least one day records.

My ring was installed and I got the pro chimes as per technician and I’m still having trouble view my front door camera it’s delayed I can’t reconnect I’m very disappointed

Save your money..this product is so inconsistent. It is constantly going offline and I have to reset it. It's so annoying! So basically it only works half the time. If it was half the price then maybe..but not at $200.

Ordered the 1st Generation Ring from Best Buy as it appeared to be the best cost option. Was told other places the 1st Gen has was no longer offered. Started through the install procedure and got stuck when the unit would not link up to our WiFi. When I went back to the box it was shipped in I noticed that the unit came from the return center. I am left to assume the unit had been returned previously. I was able to get it returned at the local Beat Buy. I then just purcashed the newer version which works fine.

I bought this item and before I opened the package my grandchildren informed me there was an upgraded version. So we ordered 2 of the upgraded version. Since I'm over 65 years I run errands once a month. When I was going to print the receipt, I noticed the return period had expired. I contacted customer service per website, explained that just as everyone is taking precautions so was I by doing errands once a month and was told I could not return it. Therefore, this is my last purchase that I make from Best Buy.

Purchased and returned for arlo. It done it’s job but quality was too bad to grasp. Plus would not ring my original chime on my doorbell. So if you go ring I suggest the 2 or the pro

We bought this over a year ago. My husband till hasn't put it up. I charged and tried it once. Picture is more blurry than I thought it'd be for the price.

The video during daylight is fair, not as good as Arlo. Night is much worse. Two way talking breaks up so bad it’s not useable. Can’t understand at all and no free cloud.

Horrible door to bell the purpose of buying this was to be able to see outside am not able to see it freezes and it will go offline and this is my 2nd one

You get what you pay for. It does not catch every human movement but can catch car and sound movement!! go figure!!

It’s ok doesn’t pick up good when someone is approaching the house like it should. Some time it doesn’t pick up until the person is in front of it!

If you're looking for doorbell camera this would be the perfect item for you! You will need to buy charm device to go with extender for the Wi-Fi

Not the best product out there I exchanged 2 of these and finally sent one back to the Ring company. They don't work good in cold . Also the motion was not working

This Ring doorbell camera worked great when it was first installed and after a couple of weeks it just stopped working and would never reconnect to our internet.

This is my second purchase of the same Ring, returned the first one thinking it had a problem. This one does the same thing, when its activated it begins to wash out and the only thing you can see is about two feet from the front door. Ring says this is because my porch cover is painted dark brown. Doesn’t seem that this should be a problem, I would have returned it but my wife thought it was better than nothing and we got it for a good price.

I spent two hours trying to connect to wifi. Literally standing 2 inches away from router. Finally I used their chat for help. Ring tech support can remotely see your,set up progress...and finally after half hour with them...they said the antenna was defective. I had to return it to Best Buy. I exchanged it..and I was able to connect to a wifi. But I had no video. Spent two hours on chat. The firmware was not updating. Ring is going to send me a new one direct from the factory. My neighbor, who saw me install it at my door, dropped by and he said it took him two hours to set up too!

Install this device today come to find out that is not compatible with my doorbell . Call their tech support and they said it won’t work on my kind of digital doorbell . We have a new home with the latest doorbell you can get in they are telling me on the phone at ring tech-support that I have to get a whole new doorbell in order for this device to work and install transformer in the basement . It would be nice if they would put some kind a disclaimer on the box I wouldn’t have wasted all my time installing this device for it not to work

This doorbell works only for a period of time. It stopped working about 8 months after it was purchased. I think this is not a good product for the long term.

Bought Ring doorbell because my existing doorbell had stopped working sometime ago. First problem with the Ring doorbell it was not compatible with my older Samsung tablet, so bought new current tablet. Still didn't work. Called Ring tech for assistance, he suggested that problem might be with my modem/router. After investigating this possibility it still did not work. Finally decided to try with hot spot on car and it worked. I returned it to store. I give the Ring tech kudos for his efforts.

First, the instructions are great. It tells you in writing and with videos how to connect the unit to your chime and how to install the doorbell itself. It mentions a transformer power requirement and there's the first issue...who knows what the power rating is on that thing way up on the garage wall? You don't know until Ring either works, doesn't work or in my case sort of works. My transformer has just enough power for the Ring unit to capture video, but not enough to do that and ring the chime. In other words my doorbell doesn't ring but I have great video of whoever I missed. I will now need to buy a new transformer. The 2nd issue is motion detection - my front door faces the street and is about 30 yards away. Ring picks up every car going by unless I reduce the sensitivity to minimum...but then it doesn't detect people as well. I miss the 1st 30 seconds of anyone approaching my house - or in my case I see them walking away. The software supposedly can ignore certain motion areas (zones) but at night car headlights cause shadows that are detected outside those zones. And if I block all potential motion points no person would be detected. So I just record everything. Lastly the website needs work. With videos of a hundred cars going by it would take forever to find an important video should I ever need to look. You have to click on each time-stamp to see what it is - no thumbnails. I had hoped to delete every video except for the past month or maybe week but there was no easy way to do that so I gave up. Didn't have time to delete one at a time. The video itself it good quality. It is a wide-angle lens so don't expect to see details at a distance but you can see a lot of your yard. For security and convenience it is great. I recommend Ring as long as you know the shortfalls and either they don't affect you or it doesn't matter to you.
