    This door bell camera doesn't work and I can't return it due to the coronavirus. After following the setup instructions plenty of times, it still won't work. The camera keeps loading and it eventually stops without no display. It's a waste of money.

      I am sorry to hear about this less than excellent Ring experience. The delay is normally attributed to WiFi/bandwidth connection but we'd be happy to further investigate this for you. Additionally, do you have any major appliances between your router and device? Also, our optional Protect Plans allow you to access/download/share past Ring videos. Without this service, you'll still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to Live View.     Camera stopped working after 45 days!

    Too late to return and didn't purchase extended warranty - who would think it would quit in less than 2 months!! Notifies of motion & ding dong but, says connection is not strong enough - tested everything. We didn't buy the movie service but, can't even get Live feed.

    Unit is easy to install by anyone with basic skills around the house. Instructions are straightforward if you follow the app and not the printed documents (it'll tell you how to sync the doorbell, etc.). Also it would be good if the Cloud options for recording were clearer. Unit works exactly as intended, although tweaking the 'motion detection' can be drawn out as my unit, even with the range shortened significantly, the unit picks up cars driving by and down the road.

    Was excited, when I got home I hooked the doorbell up, unfortunately it did not work, everything connected but no video and choppy sound. Returned it, was going to exchange but the couple in line behind me were returning there's for the same issues. So I decided against it.

    Have had this doorbell for almost a month and it works great. I was concerned that the alerts (someone setting off sensor or pushing doorbell) would be delayed but the notifications on my iPhone and iPads come through very quickly. Install is pretty easy. I knew customer service was top notch as I had spent time researching this door bell v security cameras but they went beyond what I was expecting. Even following up on a weekend to make sure all was working well. I had some trouble at the start as cars on our street where setting off the alerts every two minutes. We are in the city but set back about 50' from busy street - from reading other reviews seems most our in burbs where this would not be an issue. Changing the motion sensitivity didn't help much at first as it meant either cars setting off alert on low setting or box trucks on other end of settings. I was thrilled with the doorbell feature but wanted the motion sensor to work as this is to double as a security camera. I really wanted this to work so persisted with experimenting and then contacted customer support and Cameron had the wonderful idea of putting in a shim behind the doorbell to fix the problem of cars on main street setting off alerts. This has worked well. Ideally the sensor would alert when someone is coming up the path rather than close up to the door, but to do that would probably have to pay several thousand dollars on a complete system. For the price this is amazing!

    $200 doorbell can't use the video with out a membership very expensive for the year and can't even guarantee a good video feed or your recordings will ever be there when you need them

    Hard to get to work.

    When I installed the Ring Video Doorbell, I had poor wifi reception. I was convinced to buy the Ring Chime Pro, which I did online from Ring. Now, I get a message that the doorbell doesn't connect to wifi. I may need to return the Video Doorbell. I don't know what to do with the Chime Pro, I didn't get an invoice with the unit.
