So I decided to dig into the RIng after spending a log of time reading reviews and looking at the quality of the product from the perspective other people who had installed it so I picked one up and started connecting it to my existing system but ring DOES NOT support some of the more advanced digital doorbells like those that had intercoms and the like. The doorbell would simply ring continuously when the ring button was pressed. Ring's solution was to just charge up the device and not have it connected to the existing home chime and buy a set of chimes for the different floors in the house. Guys a doorbell is a simple switch - connect the current and the doorbell rings. Its not that complicated. That you couldn't manage that simply because the rest of the system had an intercom system made no sense so either the product was poorly designed or the technical support people were poorly trained. In either event, back to the store it went.

The ring is awesome, gives me a notice when there is any motion detected and the camera has a wide lense view.

I bought this Ring Video Doorbell last year december and had it professionally installed. Since then it doesn't work well.....it rings non-stop !!. Ring support replaced the device two times, replaced the diode as well.....but it rings non-stop. I am giving up and returing it now !!! going back to manual door bell.

Very limited settings. Can't change when to start record, you can only change the sensitivity!! It records when someone actually gets to the doorbell, or if a car drives by 30+ feet away. Should be able to have a buffer to record 10 - 30 seconds before activity is detected like my home surveillance cameras. Video quality is poor for the price paid, and no external storage option.... Very Very poor latency in capturing people coming up to the home!! Only good to see who is at the door at the time the doorbell is pressed.. Very disappointed in this technology!! Nice Doorbell, but poor pre-video surveillance. Add an SD card option!

I love that I can know who is ringing my doorbell, any time, any place.

I purchased and installed the RING doorbell/camera. A mail person delivered a package to my door, so the motion zone was penetrated, I received the alert for this motion after the mail person had left the neighborhood. Otherwise, if the button was actually functional without having to use way too much force to activate, and you could get alerts in time to respond to someone who doesn't push the ring button, I would definitely use it! I would ideally want to be able to view my door remotely at any time, but this is not an option.

Very low quality with a life of less than 2 years. The company doesn’t stand after their product. After one year it broke they sent me a replacment and after a while also this broke. I contact the company and they told me that since they replaced once I had to buy a new one.

We purchased the Ring doorbell (and 2 chimes) several months ago and was excited about its potential. But the rings were so delayed that the dog would let us know when someone was at the door and not the doorbell. Then it required charging approximately every 30 days, which is excessive since there is no doorbell while you charge for the day. Unfortunately having to remove the doorbell this much, I erroneously misplaced one of the screws which now I cannot find a way to replace. And now it will not charge at all. For the price, I was not expecting this much of a disappointment. But loved the concept so if it worked, it would be great.

Door bell caughts 180 view of the front of my house love it

Services it's purpose. But the picture is not that clear and it seems like the sound is delayed. It takes probably 5 seconds for it to start up, which is a little disappointing. If someone were to move quick enough they could go on the porch and walk away without being recorded.

The installation...device did not work. I called Ring and they had to update the device with several downloads to get it current...that should be listed in the installation process. Once hardwired the battery would drain in 2 weeks time...customer service is hard to reach and has few answers. Not sure if I just purchased a bad device or if this is common.

The product works very well. Very good when no one is home.

Camera does NOT record people until right at door, if it does record them (not like in Ring promo videos where it sees them much farther away) or when they ring. The Ring Doorbell picks up people leaving the house extremely well, but what good will that do? Stick-Up Cam has an even worse problem of not recording for 15-30 seconds. To their credit, Ring has been trying to help resolve the problem by sending wedge kits and wi-fi repeaters (at no charge), but nothing has changed. Still not working as advertised and I CAN NOT recommend this product as it is at this time. Do not waste your money.

This Ring doorbell with video is a great idea that needs work. Works half the time and you better have super internet service or it won't work at all.

I live in a 5 story building. Walls are made out of cement and my door is metal. Wifi signal is poor outside my doorstep thus this device is useless to me. Image is choppy. wifi extender does not help. Returning this device.

I bought my first Ring about a year and one half ago. 9 months into ownership the button cover fell off. I called customer support and they sent me a new one. About six months later the new one quit triggering my wired doorbell. After many hours with tech support they said the product is out of warranty and I'm out of luck. I've ordered the Nest Hello. The Nest is more money, but the image quality is better than the Ring2 and the warranty is twice as long. You can always tell how much faith a company has in their own product by the length of their warranty.

Absolute waste of money. Doesn’t have a live feed, or at least could never get it to work. Need to subscribe to ring and pay a monthly fee. Go with a arlo camera instead, you’ll be much happier
