Ring doorbells have become very popular so it was difficult finding this one. I walked in looking to replace the car holder for my iPhone and it was on the shelf! They thought it was one ordered and not picked up. Lucky me!!! I have one for each door and they are so helpful beside practical. I have difficulty moving and often people would leave before I could get to the door. No more! It is especially helpful with deliveries. I was at the doctor when a delivery was made. I just thanked the man and told him to leave it at the door. The only issue is the motion detector aspect. Sometimes if a big truck drives by it will set the motion detection off even though I don't have it watching to the street.

We purchased it for my mom for Christmas. It was easy to install and easy for her to operate. We were concerned for her safety and this lets her know who is at her door

The picture is clear and it captures motion as soon as someone walks into my yard. The only negative is that it captures large vehicles driving by during the day which causes false detections.

This camera is a great ADD-ON to if you already have Ring Cameras. This was installed at a house that already has three Ring Floodlight Cam's were two of those Floodlight Cam's are looking over where the DoorBell covers more or less. I personally would never buy this camera as my only camera at my house if I was using it as a security camera but at the end of the day something is better than nothing and if you ever wanted to increase the number of cameras in/at your house this is a good starting point for your wallet. I would have given this product five stars but I am away from home and I cannot access the live view. I am although, getting notifications from the motion detector. If I answer the motion detector I can see my home in live view. The first and only problem I have had with this device. As a whole I am glad I purchased it. I receive a lot of packages. I ask UPS to ring the bell before walking away. Whether I am home or not I can say Thank you over the intercom and appear to be home. If I am not home it lets me know my package has arrived. You also have footage of the person delivering the package. This product is amazing. Well worth the money.

I approve the Ring if you want a smart device for your home. The camera is superb. Easy to install. Plus the app works great. I'm very satisfied with this product.

Looking back I would have opted for the higher resolution. You can generally see whats happening at your door but it's pixelated. So if you need to see detail, you can't really. Example- I could see that a guy was wearing a badge but wasn't able to identify anything on the badge.

This is for the original Ring doorbell. This is basically 3 devices in 1. Doorbell, motion monitor with alert and live video. I use mine with the rechargeable battery. The battery is lasting approximately 4 weeks in cold Minnesota weather using all functions and settings at about max range and live video enabled. I will say Rings support is maxed out, it took them several days to address a non functioning motion sensor in the first unit I purchased, but they did follow up with a replacement after some constant emails. The second unit was refurbished unit I know but it at least functions properly. I would buy it again. I would suggest adding the chim.

The Ring Security ecosystem of products is a great way to monitor and surveillance your home. The doorbell lives up to expectations and does all the features it claims well. By the way, Ring has a mount that can be purchased that is a solar powered attachment that charges the doorbell’s batteries if you find yourself, like me, with a door that has no wiring for a bell button. I like the way this system works with Alexa and amazon’s echo show. It’s a great way to see who is coming and going from your property and who that might be knocking at your door.

Great way to know if ridiculous nosey neighbor from downstairs is knocking on the door again! Lol. Seriously, I love it! Easy to install, easy to use, definitely worth $100.

I bought this after comparing few other in the market. Easy to install. I'm now able to talk to visitors even when I'm away. Couple of improvements could make it better. Since the back plate is plastic had tough time mounting on an uneven surface. Also it would be good to have ability to zoom or tilt.

This has been a great purchase. It works as advertised. Mine is hardwired so i don't even have to worry about batteries. It does have sensitivity proximity issues but it does the job.

I own both the original Ring doorbell and the newer version, Ring 2. The newer version has a few additional features you might want to spend the extra cost for. The new model has some wedges to make the doorbell more customizable for your application. You can make your own wedges for the original doorbell but that adds extra steps to the installation. Also, the newer style seems a bit more durable for installation and recharging. We are happy with both versions since the door we use most has the 2nd Ring Doorbell and the older version of Ring is installed at a less used door.

Pros: Motion detection is good. It is a little slow to trigger the app on my phone when someone rings the bell, but that could be my satellite internet's fault. Pretty clear picture, but it has the same look as if you were looking through a peep hole. Cons: Monthly or yearly fee for cloud storage of the recorded video with no option for local storage, but the fee is only about $30 per year. You can't turn on the camera remotely unless it is hardwired to an old doorbell power supply. If you only use the rechargeable battery option, it only activates the camera if it detects motion or someone rings the bell. On the plus side, the rechargeable battery lasts a long time (in use over a month and still shows an 80% charge).

Easy to install and works exactly as the product states.

Works on wifi so doesn't have to be hardwired, which is what I wanted. But the motion isn't always detected and when it is there is a few second delay so it misses the person half the time. Also, the record time length cannot be adjusted so sometimes it is not long enough and won't detect another motion for the next 5-10 minutes. Needs improvements but good basic or starter video doorbell.
