This is a good video doorbell. Some issues: 1. Our previous one died after only 2 years. 2. The response time when someone rings the bell to when the app shows you who's there is a little slow. Some good things: 1. It has a very clear picture during day and night. 2. The app improvements are excellent - being able to scan back and see who was at the door, being able to set zones for the camera to detect motion, etc.

I got this on a cyber deal for a really great price. I also got the chime with it and a free Alex which all work together once set up.You have to have a $30 per year subricption for it to save videos but it is well worth it. 1080p video and you can answer the door remotely from anywhere.Install took about 20minutes total.

The customizable motion settings of the Pro are worth the expense over the Ring 2. It must be hard wired so there is short sight in design for rare situations when power goes out. The system is easy to install and the advanced motion allows you to minimize the amount of false motion alerts. Annual cloud storage is reasonable.

I am blown away at the quality of the video on this doorbell. I’ve really been enjoying the ring, and it makes me feel very safe. The only down side is sometimes when I’m away from the house the video can take awhile to load, but I think that might be because I live in an area where there can be shotty WiFi Service.

Excellent instructions, all necessary materials supplied. Thought I would need an angle bracket as my doorbell is perpendicular to door, so ordered one from Amazon. Didn’t need it. The angle bracket included with the doorbell was adequate in adjusting the angle of the device to optimize view. Once I adjusted the motions zones and sensitivity, this device has been a painless experience. Very happy. Buyer beware, however, and know that you will need to pony up 3 dollars a month to Ring/Bezos, as without cloud storage, you essentially can only watch movement in real time (if you even answer your alert on your phone in time to see the action) and have no ability to store it for future reference/distribution. I was aware of this before buying, so no complaints on my end regarding this cost. I have read that there is an internal battery that will eventually die and brick the unit, despite being hard wired to the electric. Will update review accordingly should the device not last more than 2 years. I anticipate the unit will likely not last that long, as I am living in a very hot, humid environment. Fingers crossed.

Our ring door bell has been great. We get a great sense of security with it and enjoy knowing when a package has been delivered and be able to watch for any potential theft. It has great video quality and the monthly fees for video storage are pretty cheap. I think it was only like $3 a month or $30 a year.

I have a brick home so I expected this to be a tougher install and was prepared to look into professional installation, but I decided to give it a try. I had an existing doorbell and was hoping this Ring would use the exact same holes, but alas that was not the case. So, I reused one of the holes and, using the drill bit actually included in the package (nice touch!) attempted to drill into the brick for the 2nd hole. OK so not that surprising that the included bit isn't a diamond tipped, top quality bit. I'm sure it's just some imported, 5 cent bit as it did not do well at all. After over 30 minutes of attempting to drill into the brick, I only got about 1/2 of an inch in when I really needed a full inch in order for the anchor to fit properly. So I ended up cutting the anchor in half and trying that, and then it turns out that my hole was off by maybe 1/8 of an inch if that, but enough that it didn't like up so I now have the Ring only screwed into one hole, at least for now. So the install wasn't stellar, but it worked immediately, the App was easy to set up, I really like being able to set the motion sensing area where I don't get passing street traffic, but once someone comes up the sidewalk I have them. Video quality is excelling. My 2 minor complaints would be the quality of the drill bit and then I would have provided something to provide backup power to go inside the Doorbell unit so if the power goes out, the Ring still works for a few hours anyway. Overall though, strongly recommended.

Bought this after Black Friday for a bargain price. Product was easy to install and comes with all the accessories. Works very well and video is very clear. Totally satisfied with the purchase. Bought online and picked up at Best Buy store. Transaction was very easy and fast. Will recommend doing it. No hassle at all.

Hardwired for no worry about battery life. The hard wired version also detects motion faster than a battery one for whatever reason. My doorbell sits in the texas sun in the afternoon, the hottest part of the day. 6 months later, it still functions without fail.

Easy to install and setup on android phone and home computer. I can get notified before the the individual presses the button because the doorbell senses motion. My unit came with optional Wifi chime extender, set up in garage and it sounds like dogs barking 5 seconds after doorbell is activated . Get unit for price

Ring doorbell works exactly like it should. The app has a very nice timeline that allows you to look back at the camera activity. The chime pro allows us to hear the doorbell in the back of the house. It was all very easy to set up!

Easy (!) installation and delighted with results. I attended a community meeting in which local police addressed number one thing to do for home security: A video doorbell. Don’t forget to join the neighborhood for updates on issues. Both Plano and Allen Police are members, so there is a weekly update.

Installation was easier than I thought. Camera works great! It also keeps a video archive of all the people who walk up to our driveway and front door and don’t ever ring the doorbell. Best feature is the Neighbors app. Keeps you updated with what’s going on in your neighborhood, modern neighborhood watch!

Best purchases. The ring doorbell is wonderful. I have used arlo and blink for various security monitoring purposes but the ring doorbell is used most often and works flawlessly. I do not know why I waited so long to purchase it. Super easy installation as well.

This doorbell camera was very easy to install (15 minutes beginning to end). The Ring App works great. Easy to set up, made my own boundaries. Picture quality is excellent!!! An absolute must in today's economy, where a majority of the purchases are made online and shipped to the house.

The Ring Doorbell Pro is easy to install, setup on the Ring app, and operate. With the proper internet connection, you will enjoy the advanced functions and picture quality available with the Doorbell Pro. The Ring Extender is a great bonus for the price. The Ring app is also easy to understand.

This unit was very easy to install. Did it myself in about 20 Minutes. My wife had it on the net and installed on all of our devices in about 15 minutes. I can speak with whom ever is at the door from anywhere in the world. Asked my UPS guy to put my package under my bench from London last week. Very cool tech.

Purchased because it helps us make sure the kids get home safe when dropped off by the bus. Bought this as a bundle during a sale that included the Amazon Echo Show 5. The kids love it because if someone rings the doorbell. They can see who is outside. They feel more secure. It would've been an easier installation for me. However, the wiring in our current house was not color coordinated as shown in the instructions. If you have house siding panels. You may have to make some adjustments to it or use the angled bracket that the Ring DoorBell comes with. I like that Ring insures their product. If it gets stolen. You can do a Police Report and send to Ring for a free replacement. The cost of $30/year is a small amount to be able to view your videos and download them. Ring has added snapshot pictures to their smartphone notifications. Which is something I liked about the Nest doorbell.

Overall it’s a bit expensive for what it is so wait til it’s on sale. The video quality is excellent. Hardwired only but super easy to install. I would like it to record as long as there is movement but it times out a bit soon. Not the most important thing. Make sure your WiFi speed for upload is at least 6 Mbps even though it says 2. The WiFi extender/chime is great.

I enjoy being able to see who is at my door, even if it includes wild turkeys walking in my front lawn. I'd recommend a solid wireless connection as there is lag if you have a slow connection to it. I was not aware that most of the functionality requires a subscription - but it's only $30 per month. Worth it!
