Easy to install and set up. Picture is very clear. Sound sometimes has static not sure why.

I really like this doorbell camera. It was extremely easy to install, but it failed every time I tried to connect it to WiFi using the app on Android. I borrowed my daughter's iOS device & it connected quickly & easily from there. The alerts are instantaneous. The doorbell rings & the app notifies me at the same time. No delay at all. When you click the notification, the picture comes up within seconds, again, almost no delay there. Multiple people can view the live video & talk through the speaker from multiple devices simultaneously, which is really nice. Meaning, if I am at work & my wife is at work & our kids come home, they can ring the doorbell & we can both see & talk to them at the same time. The only complaint is that the video will lag or freeze every few seconds. Voltage going to the camera is what it should be & the wifi signal is strong there so I'm not sure what the issue is, but overall I still love the camera.

The video quality is much better if you have a strong signal. I had much better luck using my routers 5G bandwidth. It does what it says it do. The setup was fairly easy. Instructions that came in the box was sufficient. I like that I had a few options for faceplate. I ended up purchasing additional brackets (for angling the Ring better). Once set up and connected, you had to set up zones if you wish to use motion sensor. The motion sensor sensitivity is not what I expected. My zone has been set up to ignore the roads but I still get notifications whenever a car drives by. And I don't get notifications when my kids walk in my driveway. I have played with the sensitivity level of the device, and does not seem to have much luck. And for this, I took off one star. Overall, I am happy with this device. I do have the chime as well and that works too. Overall happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

I had the original ring doorbell first and although that was amazing also. This one is amazing and then some! 1080p video. you can customize your motion zones and the night vision is so much better. Definitely a must have if you want to catch those porch pirates.

A doorbell that cost more than $100? If you were like me you may have thought the same thing. That did not stop me from purchasing it and I love this product. My wife is not a tech person and she loves this product, too. It alerts us both on our iPhones and through the normal doorbell we had in our home. I installed and configured this product in under an hour with very little experience in tech and handyman work. It was super easy and the tools are included. I did have to shim it with a couple stacked pennies to angle the camera more toward my entrance before I put a thin bead of silicone around it. The video is fairly good and clear. The timing of a when a visitor pushes the button to when it rings on my phone is excellent and quick. I love how inexpensive the video recording option is. This is a feature that saves all motion (you can set it up for this) and confirmed rings to a database online. The configuration options on my iPhone are easy and excellent. Even someone with little to no experience can configure this device. The device can be configured to alert you to motion and/or when the doorbell is pressed. The motion detector can be configured easily though the app by highlighting certain areas on the image that is called up through the doorbell. In other words if your doorbell faces the street and sidewalk, you can configure it so that only when motion is detected on the sidewalk it alerts you, avoiding false positives from, say, cars driving by on the street. Here are my only complaints: 1) I wish it was quicker from when you answered the doorbell from when a visitor pushed the button. This does not appear to be network lag as my Internet connection is nearly 300 mbps down and 30 up. It seems to be something within the actual doorbell system/app itself. There are times when someone rings my doorbell and by the time I swipe and it loads the video, the person is facing away and nearly walking away from my house. I have not timed this but it could be in the neighborhood of 30 seconds. 2) Sometimes it seems to be sensitive and have some false motion detection, especially as it switches from day to night. 3) this system allows an individual to talk to someone at the front door, as well. My complaint with this is that sometimes the voice is lagging and creates a feedback where you can hear yourself through the app with a delay. There is a night mode camera that is activated automatically. It is black and white image and although it is good, I would say it is limiting in the fact it is a typical black and white night vision camera. There is a replacement guarantee if it is stolen from your home and I believe it came with toll free support. If you do not want to install this, Ring company provides a list of people that will do this for a fixed rate (maybe $100?). Bottom line, if they fix the three issues above and improved the video quality dramatically, I would easily give this five stars. Even as this product sits now, I would purchase this again.

I love this item. Literally took me 20 minutes to have the entire unit hooked up and running. The app works perfectly. I live this thing. Video is awesome, app settings are very easy and user friendly. Works just fine at night and has never missed a “motion sensor” Highly recommend.

This product is easy to install as they provide everything in the box except the power drill (but the box comes with a stucco/concrete/brick drill bit which was awesome and useful). Once it's in, the app is easy to setup and the unit coordinates with your Wi-Fi directly. Loading on mobile data is choppy depending on your carrier and signal strength. Wife has ATT and I have Sprint. The loading on the wifi is very smooth. Verbal Communication is very useful on the unit as well. Motion sensor is very sensitive so make sure you adjust the area to your specific needs, otherwise you will get multiple alerts for vehicles passing by and such. Also an FYI, once your trial is over a subscription (monthly or annually) is required for the Ring to store your video on the cloud. Great device and great sevice. The subscription can be purchased for multi units or each unit which makes it really easy to add more Ring products. Definitely plan to get the flood light camera for additional security.

I’m impressed with all aspects of my first Ring product experience. 1.) The physical aspect of installation was quite simple, particularly because they give you many of the tools that could be needed. 2.) The application for software/ WiFi setup was a snap 3.) Post installation product performance has been great, overall. The daytime video quality is shockingly good, even at a distance. In low light, quality deteriorates at distances beyond 8-10 feet (e.g., you won’t make out faces well beyond that). I’m very happy with the purchase. As a result, I purchased a Ring Floodlight for the back of the house. It has much better range in low light situations because it lights things up.

Several people I knew had the Ring and I was impressed so I bought the Ring Pro. The customer service is the best, the Ring is amazing, has great clear videos and simple to install. I recommend for everyone, especially for the motion sensor that you can adjust the area you want covered

Easy installation. Great video quality. Response time for rings and motion detection slow. Motion detection isn't reliable. You MUST subscribe to the cloud service in order to see any alerts. Otherwise by the time you get into the app, whatever set it off is long gone.

I read a ton of reviews and almost passed on this because of so many negatives. I set up per video instructions which took about 15 minutes today. There is a short delay with the doorbell but the motion sensor alerts me well in advance to open my app. I was able to turn my first solicitor away Within a couple hours of installation. Live stream is great and no problems with notifications. If you have fast internet and a good router I would recommend this.

The Pro version met all my expectations. I got the first version of the Video Doorbell a year ago and returned it. I was able to install it with ease, it’s powered by my existing wiring and you can customize the motion area. My only nit pick is that the hardware supplied is ok for drywall, though not useful for stucco or any other hard material. I got separate hardware for the installation.

I will just go straight to my pro's and con's for the Ring Video Doorbell Pro. Pros: - Easy install (make sure you have sufficient power and fast internet) - Excellent image/video quality - No delays in phone notification when the doorbell is pressed. - No delays in phone notification when motion is detected. - Ring app is user-friendly - Neighborhood watch feature in app. - Comes with 4 faceplates - Subscription (if needed) costs are cheaper than competitors. Cons: - No pre-recorded responses or the ability to record your personal responses. - Can't toggle on/off for night vision. - No free cloud storage. A requirement if you want to review recorded video.

This is my second ring product and I am very impressed! I have had security cameras installed around my house before but the ease of installation and setup is just so simple It does require a hardwired power supply since I didn’t have an existing doorbell, ring support had specific instructions for this setup which were very easy to follow and worked like a charm, I think the hardest part was fishing the wire through my wall!

Reasonable installation effort. Produces a very clear picture of your door area. Easy to use app.

I originally bought the Ring Doorbell 2, not realizing the original Ring doorbell and the Doorbell 2 only connect to the 2.4Ghz wireless band and not the 5 GHz. You need at least a 2 Mb/s upload speed for the doorbell to actually work. My WiFi has the worst 2Ghz upload speed on the planet and the doorbell wouldn’t record half the time. I switched to the Doorbell Pro because I can connect to the 5Ghz band giving me massive speeds and the doorbell works like a dream. Sometimes it picks up a few false flags (Car lights) but no biggie and it’s not all the time, only seems to happen when it had rained so it’s reflecting. This doorbell has custom motion zones which make a world of difference, and actually caught on film someone almost running me over while I was getting my mail and they were on their cell. I only recommend the Doorbell Pro, none of the others

The Ring Pro is a great device to detect motion and see the surroundings. Great quality video.

Very easy to install. Nice feature with the different colored bezel. Has all the necessary stuff to install install level 2 because u have to own a drill. My suggestion though it says works with 16v to 24v if your extending doorbell transformer is 10va. It works but will shuts down from time to time. My suggestion what i did was to upgrade the transformer to atleast a 20va.
