I finally narrowed my security camera search to this. There are so many options but when Ring came out wih the second version I highly considered it. It's great for when you're out of town, expecting a package, or just want to see who's at the door without getting up from the couch. It was a pretty easy install for an average DIYer as myself. Compared to other doorbells it's very slim and minimal. It has several faceplates that you can choose from to match your home color. There is a slight lag when there is motion or if the doorbell rings. I can't pinpoint if hats from my internet or if I is from the Ring itself. The first month of cloud storage is free and then $3 a month or $30 a year which is much cheaper. There are a lot more comprehensive monitoring systems out there. But this one fits my needs. I do have to say I wish the resolution was just a bit higher

Awesome product. Works exactly as you would expect it too. Great HD video during the day. Decent night vision video. Speaker is loud enough to have a conversation. Setup is easy if you follow instructions. Overall great product that I recommend to all my friends.

Love the doorbell! Very little issues but the issues I have come across were to be expected. One is the slight delay of when it senses motion and pulling up the app. I believe to have this be instantaneous would be very hard to achieve anyway. But if you are concerned of missing the chance of seeing an "intruder" because of the delay, you are able to see the recorded portion through the app and find out who or what triggered the motion alert. Setting up the doorbell was fast and easy, application is very easy to navigate through, and adding other users or devices is a bonus. I do not have any internet connection issues but I do have an orbi satellite that is located almost directly behind the doorbell. I have also held conversations through the ring without any difficulty. Ring's customer service responds very quickly and their monthly cloud recording service is very affordable. Would 100% recommend to family and friends.

The Ring Video Doorbell Pro is an incredible device. Hardwire installation into the existing doorbell's wires and components was extremely easy and you never have to worry about charging batteries. The Ring software is very user friendly and the peace of mind this device brings you is invaluable. I highly recommend this product and I look forward to more devices from Ring to incorporate into my home.

This does not show video like their demo videos. It only takes pictures, not really video. It has a huge time delay between pictures. As an example, I had a package delivered by UPS. This Ring Doorbell Pro snapped a picture when she bent over to put down the package. She was facing away from the camera. Then the camera took a snapshot of her walking away from the door, another shot of her backside.. So if someone should come to pick up a package, this may not capture anything worth using. It gives you very little to go on. However, to be honest, it does often capture pictures of me going in or out that show my face.. (I have it set for motion detection.) So it works, and I like it, I just would not have bought it knowing it doesn't give you smooth video like their demo videos show. On the upside, their call-in support is wonderful. Some of the nicest people! (Note: I have called them a few times about the video issue. They sent a Ring Doorbell Wi-Fi extender at no charge. It didn't improve anything.)

This bell is a must have for everyone!! The video quality is great, motion detection is flawless, it’s very easy to setup, and works with my existing door bell. Oh! I can also see a live feed in my Amazon Echo Spot!! I don’t think I can ask for more.

I had the 1st generation doorbell and ended up returning it for the Pro version. The performance between the two is huge. I found that the higher quality video in the Pro made a big difference. The 1st gen video would always start with pixilation that would eventually clear. Not so with the Pro - nice clear video from the start. The biggest complaint I had with the 1st gen was that it was always delayed in capturing motion. For instance, I had an Amazon package delivered. I got an alert from the 1st gen doorbell, looked at the video and simply saw the package on my doorstep. It didn't capture the delivery person coming or going! Not good. That does not happen with the Pro. Yes, the Pro costs more but it works.

Well worth the price for the security. It was very easy to install. The camera has a clear picture and the microphone is loud. The recent update to allow snoozing with the alarm and notifications is phenomenal when working in the yard or going in and out.

Takes a little bit to setup. The camera is great quality. Took awhile to get this thing paired. Kept having to delete it from the app then add it back on. Also while using the app, if you don't hit the red x within the app while viewing a video it would cause the app to crash. Galaxy S7. Other than that the doorbell is great. I can see everyone that comes to my house and never leave my room.

This doorbell adds a great level of security to a home. It is reassuring to be able to see who comes up to the door, be able to talk to a person outside, and adjust the area where motion can be detected.

Once I adjusted the sensitivity to not alert me every time a leaf moved, it was great. Notified me every time a package was delivered, and got neighborhood updates on mischief. My biggest complaint was that it wouldn’t stay powered on. I have an older house and I guess the wiring going to the doorbell needed to be redone, because it got to the point where it would only stay powered on for a max of thirty minutes then I would have to reset it. If you have a newer home that has good wiring to the doorbell, definitely recommend. If not, I would opt for the battery powered one. Battery lasts up to a year without having to charge it.

My wife purchased one for me for my Birthday in January. Installation is straight forward, but you need 12-16vac at your doorbell button, which is not noted on the packaging. My first unit would not connect to my wifi, so I had to return it. My in-laws liked our Ring Video Doorbell Pro, that they wanted to get one as well. We ended up buying it for my father-in-laws birthday. Again, installation was straight forward. We had to change their doorbell transformer to a model with the higher voltage required by the Video Doorbell Pro. Also, this one did not work straight out of the box, and we had to exchange for another unit at BestBuy. Once installed, it works very well, but there were some lessons learned on the first installation, and we had two defective units that needed to be exchanged.

This doorbell was simple to install. Video is very clear as well as the audio.

I wanted this soooo bad!! Unfortunately, the employee who helped wasn't up to snuff on the item.. This Product requires a pre-wired doorbell / power source. I tried this out at a neighbor's home and loved the quality of the product & ease of use.. Would cost me an $175 for an electrician to run the line, so I had to return.. If you are replacing a doorbell, I would Highly Recommend.
