It is still going after two years and works perfectly. We use it daily and only pay the 3 dollars a month to be able to save videos for up to 60 days. Others have complained that these have a short lifespan but ours has lasted. Highly recommended!

This morning I was glad I didn't go downstairs to answer the door when I discovered it was a squirrel! I am still learning the various features.

It was pretty easy to replace the old doorbell and make the connection with my echo system. I had to reduce the motion distance to keep it from being triggered by wildlife in the middle of the night. Works very well.

The recording service is less expensive than other brands because it records when motion detected rather than continuous. There is a bit of lag time and sometimes choppy sound but overall we are happy with it.

I can record all and or any event I want easily. It also sends a message that people are being recorded. This way no intruder can come near my house or still my packages.

Subscription Cost

Mine type of doorbells were hard-wired so as not to require charging. Ring Inc. locks-out recording w/o a pricey subscription. It was difficult for it to connect to wifi many times requiring a phone call to Ring tech quite a few times. Finally i exchanged them for the Ring doorbells with Ethernet connection to the modem. These had many similar issues so I returned them as well. Other than price and connectivity, the video quality was OK, and the voice through the doorbell was understandable most of the time.

If you are having audio trouble with your Ring Video Doorbell Pro, we recommend checking your mobile device to make sure that the external volume control is turned up to an adequate level to hear the person. Additionally, a Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan you can still use the live view and two-way audio feature, you are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. In order to see past recorded videos from your ring device, you will need the optional Ring Protect Plan, which starts at $3/month per device or $30/year per device.
