Died in 20 Minutes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not just one, but TWO of these both locked up and wouldn't work after 20 minutes of operation. To me, the weak link in the design is drawing power completely from the doorbell transformer. Although mine showed sufficient voltage, there was something about the power the doorbell didn't like. I assume this design is to eliminate the wide internal battery pack. I replaced this unit with the Doorbell 2, which is wider but accommodates a battery pack supplying main power. The doorbell transformer is only used to trickle charge the batteries. You might be lucky and have doorbell power that the Doorbell Pro likes. Are you feeling lucky?
