I installed the by pass as directed then neither the existing nor ring pro worked. I checked unsuccessfully for a solution, (including asking Store personnel), then I exchanged it for the wireless model. That worked well in bright daylight but as it got dark it didn’t detect anything until within approximately 3’ to 4’ and the image was not clear. I returned it and was pleasantly surprised that my money was refunded without a problem. I liked the doorbell and would have kept it had it worked as advertised.

The buzz you describe is likely related to the device's wiring gauge or your transformer's power rating not being adequate to support the doorbell device and in home chime kit. The Ring Video Doorbell Pro requires a compatible doorbell, Ring plug-in adapter or transformer (not included): 16-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz in order to function properly.

You can answer and talk via the app from anywhere. There are two issues with the Pro...1- if mounted in a shaded area, contrast is poor and you don't get a good image. 2- you can set parameters for motion detection but the device isn't smart enough to ignore the wind moving a branch.
