Easter Egg Hunt

The sound was flaky at best and didn’t work after 10 minutes or so. I spent well over an hour with tech support to determine that doorbell transformer is likely insufficient. Even though my doorbell chime is stated to be 16VAC the ring tech has reason to believe that the transformer is less than 16V and not enough power is reaching the doorbell. My house was built in 2007 so I wouldn’t expect that my electrical system was too anemic for a new doorbell. The really awesome part is tonight I get to look forward to an Easter egg hunt for the transformer because it wasn’t mounted with the doorbell chime or even near the chime. I don’t get to spend much quality time in my attic in July but I’ll get the chance tonight! I will say this about ring customer support, the wait time to speak with an actual person is typically short and the agent genuinely tried to address my issue.

Live view NEVER works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After owning this Ring Pro for ~5 months and two other Ring Pro's for ~1 year each, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST purchasing Ring. Ring's main problem is that Live View NEVER works within ~90 seconds after a visitor presses the door bell or when motion is detected. This flaw defeats the whole point of this device versus regular security cams. By the time Ring's live feed is up, the visitors have already left. Ring's server is terribly slow and its algorithm seems to prioritize storing the footage to the cloud rather than showing the live feed on your phone. My network is fast and reliable with multiple other smart devices that can stream live feeds flawlessly. I have contacted Ring about this issue; their lame stock response was to blame my wifi connection, which is totally irrelevant in my case. Ring sucks.

Bad install experience and support

Unlike other video doorbells this one needs a "night vision booster" installed inside the existing doorbell in order to provide night vision. Also it needs a minimum of 16V to operate and if your doorbell supplies only 15.6V like mine does it will not work. Ring's support is inconvenient to say the least. If 1st level support cannot help then you need to be contacted by 2nd level support via email and then use the link they provide to schedule a date and time for a support call. When I tried to schedule a call it I found that the only open slots were either during the day when I am at work or more than 2 weeks later which meant I'd lose the ability to return the product for a refund. I gave up, returned the product and purchased another that doesn't require modifying the doorbell and requires a minimum of only 10V and works.

AFTER INITIAL HOOK UP WITHIN A FEW HOURS DOORBELL GOES OFFLINE AND ONLY A BLACK SCREEN. CALLED RING MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. I HAVE A BOOST EXTENDER AND STILL NOTHING. Inconsistent

While the door bell does work, it is very inconsistent in video quality, but more importantly in its reaction speed. The average time to see who is at the front door is greater than 45 seconds, and this is with the Door Chime Pro WiFi Extender included. Rather disappointing, especially in the current environment!
