    Network status Wi Fi connection frequently OFFLINE

    1. The Ring doorbell unit looses the Wi Fi connection frequently. 2. Continuous setup is required because the Ring unit drops the Wi Fi connection after a short time. 3. Why isn't the reconnection to Wi Fi automatic after the initial setup has been completed??

Ring Video Doorbell Pro is compatible with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi networks operating on 2.4 gHz or 5 gHz frequencies. In addition, for best streaming performance, we recommend 2 Mbps upload and download speeds. If you are still experiencing issues I would be happy to further investigate this for you.     Work for two weeks then stopped working . Ring has horrible customer service . After two weeks of trying to get it replaced I gave up and returned it . After doing some research nest is the way to go . Save your self a headache and don’t buy ring . The repair man that they sent out said he is constantly trying to fix them and most the time there unfixable.

    This was easy to connect. It worked well for about 2 weeks then went off line. We tried all the trouble shooting suggestions - even bypassing the doorbell. We also purchased the ring Chime Pro. Nothing worked. Hopefully it is a problem with this device - I am going to do an exchange since I read on line that the return policy is only 15 days.

    A GEEK COMES AND PUTS IT IN AND SAYS YOUR SET THEN LEAVES AND NEXT DAY DOESN'T WORK. CALL ANOTHER GEEK OUT HE SAYS YOU NEED STRONGER WATTS IN OUR DOOR BELL.     been working with their support, very polite but they can't get it to work. Keep telling me I need this and they will send it to me and then they send something they tell me I don't need, and then something for the United Kingdom, then some wires and fuses. Still don't work and I've had it since the 17th of July.

    Worst doorbell camera. Night vision is terrible, motion sensor is difficult to adjust. When someone is at the door,it takes forever for the phone app to turn on. By that time the person has gone. The lower,cheaper Ring models work better. Not the Ring pro. Don't buy it...

      After reading your review, it seems that you are having some trouble with your Ring Pro. The Ring Video Doorbell Pro is Ring’s ultra-slim design video doorbell with a variety of advanced features. The Video Doorbell Pro offers Advanced Motion Detection, 1080p video, Two-Way Talk & Quick Replies, Color Night Vision and Alexa Greetings. With Ring’s advanced doorbell, you can check in on your front door anytime, from anywhere, and can see and speak to visitors at your door in real-time using your Ring app or Alexa-enabled device.

       

       

      If you Ring Video Doorbell Pro has insufficient power, you may find that you’re experiencing some of the following issues:

      Regularly losing connection to your wifi network

      Freezing up or shutting down during the ringtone sound after a button press.

      Regularly shutting off (the white light on the front will turn off

      Freezing up during a live event

      Not ringing your existing internal doorbell correctly

      Night vision doesn’t work

      Ring Pro works fine for a couple of events and then stops working

By using the Rapid Ring app in conjunction with the original Ring app, you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible.     One of the most important features of this doorbell is being to able to see what has happened. Sometime when I scan back, whole days of information are just missing. Best case is the information not available until hours after the event. I am paying additional for this service as part of the ring and it is just about useless.

The Ring Pro was designed to give you real time alerts and give you peace of mind in your home security. Moving forward if the Ring products and features are not matching your expectations, we have some options available for you.
      Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Refurbished Ring Pro. If your Ring Pro is not working as intended, we recommend resetting the device. To reset your Ring Pro press and hold the setup button for 10-15 seconds. Once the white light stops spinning you can continue with setup.     Do not buy this product

    We bought the Ring Pro, the stick up cam and the chime. We have had to have Ring replace the main unit 3 times because it will just stop working and we believe it is because it sits in full sun in the afternoon. After the 3rd time Ring told us to "Return it to Best Buy" but we are well beyond the return period and Ring has not attempted to contact us again.

    No live view with current firmware

    Live view stopped working when the firmware auto-updated. Called tech support, they rolled it back and it started working again. But in fifteen minutes it auto updated and stopped working again. Told to buy the chime, but that didnt have any effect. Switched to the nest hello and that worked perfectly.
