First one didn't work!

After speaking to customer support ant trying everything, I brought it back. The second one worked great for about 36 hours and then quit completely! I had to bring this one back too. I am not going for a third. I think the manufacturing of these things is extremely poor. I would recommend staying away!

Disappointing

I've tried installing it several times, but with no luck. Customer service said 'check the voltage.' I did, then replaced the transformer. Still doesn't work. Signed up to pay $50 for their tech guy to come install. That was a week ago. No tech visit, none scheduled, and Doorbell still doesn't work.

Horrible video quality issues with Ring Pro

I have talked to many other people that have seen the same issue with the Pro. I returned my Pro and got the older model and have not had a single problem with it. I would not recommend the Ring Pro until I've seen that they have fixed the video issues.

The Ring Video Doorbell Pro requires a compatible doorbell, Ring plug-in adapter or transformer (not included): 16-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz in order to function properly. Can you confirm that you have a transformer that meets this requirement?

Great at first then video FAILS!!!

Doorbell still rings, chime works but no video. It's past the 1 yr warranty mark so i'm screwed. Not durable so I DON'T recommend. I'm glad it failed when it did because I was about the pull the trigger on more ring products for my entire home.

Ring's Customer Support is horrible. I'm now faced with hiring an electrician to come repair it - if it can't be repaired I'll need to buy another video doorbell.

Not worth the hype

My son had started riding the bus home and we wanted the ability to see him get off the bus safely. Everything was working great the first 6 months, but now its just basically a doorbell. The camera is useless. Very disappointed.

It is a valuable feature that is designed to notify you as to who may be near your home. Please know that it is a priority for us to be of assistance and find a resolution to your concern.
Based on your review it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Video Doorbell Pro picking up correct motion. The Ring Doorbell Pro sees the world is through a network of PIR or "Passive Infrared" motion sensors. These are heat sensors that detect motion by monitoring heat within the detection area. Since people are hotter than the surrounding areas, as a person enters the detection area the heat measurements change. The motion sensors register this change as movement and send out an alert. If this is the case, we recommend you to adjust your current set motion zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. one is the longest number

This product does not match at all the product on the video which shows how to set it up. So this leads me to believe Best Buy sold me the first generation which erks me a little. All of us always want the latest and best and expect that's what you are getting off of the store shelf.

Proper Installation impossible

I would have had to drill out large hole in door jam in order to install the capacitors. Without, the system caused the ringer to buzz and was told that over time it would get worse. I ended up returning.

Broken in under 2 years

However for the price, charging an annual fee to use this product seemed a bit unnecessary, but I lived with it. However, a $250 doorbell that quits working after two years is just terrible. No real help from customer service ...

A Must Have
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Ring Pro after hearing several of my neighbors rave about its capabilities. We had a few packages that were stolen from a few houses so I decided to give it a try. I opted for the Pro version because of the ability to select custom motion detection ranges as well as the full HD camera. It's certainly worked well for us. I purchased the Ring Pro and brought it home. It was destined to replace our existing wired doorbell at the front door. Installation was quick and easy. We had a little challenge with the setup when my Android app (Pixel XL) was trying to find the doorbell. The app couldn't find the doorbell after pressing the side button several times. Eventually I had to exit the app, kill the app process then restart the app. After I did that, it worked great! I plan to subscribe to the Cloud service (just $30 US per year) because I don't always have my phone on me...or would be asleep at the time. The yearly charge is worth it for peace of mind. I would highly recommend the Ring Pro, especially this time of year when the prices are discounted for the holidays.

Goes offline after 2 hours

Had to remove power and reconnect to get back on line. Changed power supply - same results. WIFI about 10 feet from camera. Other WIFI devices did not loose connection. Followed all the recommended trouble shooting instructions.

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear this, however, I would like to help. Do you happen to know what your upload speed is? You can check by visiting www.bandwidthplace.com on your cell phone, and running a speed test right next to where your Ring Doorbell is installed. We also recommend running a speed test right next to your router and comparing the two speeds. Sometimes, even with high internet speeds, the connection isn't as strong at the front of the house. Not worth it

The nest I bought to replace this works way better and recognizes people and packages, the ring never did.
