Do not buy

Not only did I spend a couple of hundred on the product but quite a bit to install and attempt to troubleshoot. I tried resetting, did nothing but quit working again. I cannot return to Best Buy or Ring. No one stands by this product.

Not impressed

They promised to send a replacement but I found the Nest Hello to he far better. I returned the Ring and I'm very satisfied with my Nest Hello.

Disappointing Performance

Internet connection is excellent in the house. Purchased a Chime Pro Wi-Fi- to help with no luck. Every time I answer a motion or watch a video it shows about 3 seconds then freezes & stay frozen.

A huge upgrade over the original model
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the Ring Video Doorbell, and while I found it a very helpful product for our security (we live in the city and get a lot of questionable visits to our door), I read about the Ring Video Doorbell Pro's stronger motion detector settings and the night vision, and felt that this would improve our home security. I purchased the Video Doorbell Pro when the item was first available, and had some initial difficulties with the set-up - our old house had an ancient transformer running to our doorbell, but a call to the Ring helpline was quickly answered, and I replaced our transformer with a $8 16-24v transformer, which allowed the night vision power kit to work. The Pro worked like a dream - allowing me to define zones for motion detection that excluded a busy street 20 feet from our doorway, a tree across the street that sways in the wind, a window next to our porch that picked up reflections and set up false alarms. I created minimal, irregular zones that anyone approaching our door or porch would cross. This has worked perfectly. The product has been perfect for our needs, a definite improvement over the previous version. And Ring's customer service is the top in its class - first line customer support is knowledgable, friendly, and diligent, and an engineer contacted me to ensure that my transformer issue was dealt with properly. I would not hesitate to recommend the Pro doorbell to anyone.

Didn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my mom, she has dsl, after setting it all up, drilling holes in wall, waiting on hold for 5 hours, still not get any help, called back next day and waited 2 hours to tell me it wouldn't work with her dsl-too slow. Returned it and bought arlo system and that works.

Didn't work

The customer service department was wonderful though and offered to send me another me n the mail. Instead we returned the unit to Best Buy and got another one. Same problem. We will wait and hopefully buy one in the future after it has been on the market longer.

The CONCEPT is great - the FUNCTION is awful

This is the worse functioning piece of electronics I have ever purchased. The lag time is so bad ( and yes our WiFi speed is great) that it is worthless.

Easy Set Up, Great Product

Got it home, watched the videos and installed it. Within 20 minutes it was up and running, works great, great video and sound, well worth the purchase. Took a short trip from home, checked it out, click on the icon on my phone, within 1 minute the picture was there. Picture quality was excellent. The ease of installation, clarity of the picture and the sound was great. Yes, I would highly recommend it to a friend. Sense of security now!

Ring Doorbell Pro Is Anything But

Ended up costing us $55 for his time and we still had to return the doorbell.

Needs 24volts to work! Do NOT buy!

Does not work with existing wiring as claimed. RING keeps giving you more and more expensive suggestions, but nothing ever works. Good luck trying to return it to Best Buy.

A pain in the rear

However, I couldn't bypass the existing bell. Now nothing works including the Ring. I took it all back. Frustrating and unnecessary inconvenience.

Unfortunately you have to have it wired in order to work. Don’t like at all. I’m in an apartment n can’t wire it.

Buggy

Power at the doorbell is 29v and Wi-Fi is over 30 mbps. Ring is sending me a Wi-Fi extender to see if that fixes the offline issue. This product isn't ready and I would avoid for now

Never got this to work

Took over two hours of trouble shooting never worked. Called their support number only to be told defective part was cause. They promptly sent replacement part. Still didn't work.

Don't Buy!

I returned the item & purchased the step down from the pro which is hardwired as well & i love it. No issues to date.

Poor power

Good But not for me

I would not purchase again. I do not like the sensor constantly notifying me when ever a car passes by omly allows me to pause for max of 4hrs.
