I looked at all the other brands and talked to different people. They all recommend Ring over Blink, Arlo, etc. I do not know much about the difference, but I do know that this product is great and brings me peace of mind.

Having this brings such peace of mind and knowing I can keep watch for anyone suspicious who comes around. Hasn't failed me yet!

Overall easy to install and works great with Amazon Alexa but not Google Nest unfortunately.

We got another one for our in law and it was great because we get to see who’s at the door. We caught a few abnormal activities on the camera at my in laws. That is great.

Video quality, and notifications when motion detected is excellent. However, be aware that after 30 days, monthly subscription is REQUIRED to continue receiving real-time notifications. This should be more apparent in product description and packaging.

At Ring, we believe it is imperative that our customers receive all pertinent information regarding additional benefits they have the option to subscribe to, such as the Ring Protect Plan. Having this information allows someone to make the best purchasing decision for their needs. We provide information to our customers about the optional Ring Protect Plan on our Ring website, your Ring app will also notify you during the free 30-day trial of our cloud plan, as well as in an email after a successful setup of a Ring device.
A Ring Protect Plan is required in order to replay video footage for each device on your account. Ring Protect Basic activates video recording for one device per location and is $3.99 per month or $39.99 per year, per device. There is also another option, Ring Protect Plus activates video recording for all devices at your location and is $10 per month or $100 per year. The Plus plan also includes extended warranties for all devices. I already have the newest version of the doorbell for my front door and wanted something for the patio. I almost selected the regular motion camera but I'm glad I got this one. I think it comes in handy for deliveries and if anyone wants to use the patio entrance.

It has a long battery life, and customizable alerts for any occasion. This was the best purchase for my home.

None of the special. screws that is required to install the camera, was missing. The hardware is supposed to include, because it uses a special screw to install that will make it very hard for a thief to remove the device. Make sure you check the box before leaving the store.
