But RING service is available and a big help. We're appreciating the extra level of security the RING system provides.

The only issues I have is that the doorbell freezes constantly!! When it freezes, i miss when people walk up or it shows a second or two of the person and then freezes as a blur! Then other times I get an alert for the front door but when I view it, It doesn’t show anything or anyone there. The app is just as bad so at this point, I’m not sure if its the doorbell itself, the app or both. I surely hope there is an updated version that gives better alerts than this one.

For example, there is no delay in notifications if someone walks by a couple times within a short span of time, so you can have multiple notifications for someone walking in and back out. Other than a few minor things I’m overall pleased with this camera.

We are happy to provide you with more information regarding the motion detection issue that you mentioned in your review. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. If you do not wish to receive notifications for motion events, simply toggle off the "Motion Alerts" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is picking up too much motion, we recommend lowering the "Motion Sensitivity" under the "Motion Settings" tab. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This also includes changing the "Motion Frequency" to "Regularly" or "Periodically" in the Ring app.
