    Depth of focus and field of view are amazing for this camera. I have not found a camera similar to this that has better night vision capabilities.

    It shows a picture of people who ring your doorbell. It's almost like a camera.

    Love the WiFi feature. I elected to have it hard wired so i did not have to re-do battery.

    Not very consistent with connection. Could be the internet. Do not like to take the entire unit off the wall to charge. The unit did not have any security screws, so anyone can just remove it off the wall. Not as secure as other Ring devices.

      It sounds like the device is not operating as expected. With Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), stay connected to your home from anywhere by seeing who’s at your door and answering it right from the Ring app. Enjoy enhanced features like upgraded video quality from 720p HD to 1080p HD, Near Zone motion detection in areas as close as 5 to 15-feet in front of your home and a reimagined mounting setup that simplifies installation.

      Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) is compatible with b/g/n wifi networks operating on 2.4 GHz frequencies. High speed internet is recommended. If your Ring device is far from your wifi router, it may be experiencing connection issues.

      Here are a few top reasons for poor connectivity:
      Your Ring device may be too far from your wifi router.
      Your mobile device has a low signal or poor connection.
      Your home wifi connection is poor (or your internet service provider is experiencing high traffic.).

      To learn more about your device's signal strength, follow these steps:
      Open the Ring app.
      Tap the menu (☰).
      Tap Devices.
      Select the Ring device you would like to test.
      Tap on the Device Health tile.
      Scroll to Signal Strength under the Network section.
      The green, amber, red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good, red is poor.
      Move your wifi router off the floor.

      Walls, floors, and furniture can interfere or weaken your router's wireless signal. Choose an elevated, central, open location for your wifi router.

      We have listed the steps below for how to check your wifi speed:

      Most internet service providers range from 100-400mbps (megabytes per second) for download speed and 10-100mbps for uploading. We recommend testing your internet connection 15 feet from your wifi router, using websites like this one.

      If your wifi speed is falling below the ranges noted above, we recommend contacting your internet service provider.

    My 2nd purchase of this particular Ring product and there seems to be a problem with this product...if I didn't have a warranty with the company I purchased it from, I wouldn't purchase, again...

Rebooting your Ring device is an easy way to solve distorted audio, beeping, and discolored video issues like black video, pink video, or night vision during daytime hours. Follow these steps to reboot your device from the Ring app:

      Open the Ring app.
      Tap the menu (☰).
      Tap Devices.
      Select the device you want to reboot.
      Make sure it's connected to wifi.
      Tap the Device Health tile.
      Scroll down to Reboot This Device and confirm your selection.

    Generally works. Believe it looses connection with WiFi because placement outside my apartment. Otherwise, I generally believe it works and serves its purpose. Purchased other ring products that work well.

Usually, devices falling offline repeatedly is related to poor wifi connectivity caused by signal fluctuations, channel congestion, or data loss. In rare cases, this can be caused by settings in your router.

      We recommend checking the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
