The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection.

If you have a Ring doorbell are having trouble with night vision, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take.

If your videos are completely black, you may need to adjust your router. You can find out how to adjust your router here: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023439472-Fixing-Black-Video-Errors-by-Adjusting-Your-Router.

If your videos have white-washed faces, you may need to adjust the angle of your security camera or doorbell so light doesn't overexpose the images that are being recorded: https://ring.com/products/corner-kit-for-video-doorbell-v2.
