Actually the store associate argued with me and said the 2 version did and showed me the rechargeable batter box showed 2 version and said its made for this one. I knew better, because you have to take it off to charge it.

The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 Release) is powered by a rechargeable, built-in battery and does not require hardwiring. It features a revamped mounting setup that simplifies installation and removal when it comes time to recharge the device. This doorbell is compatible with a 802.11 b/g/n wifi connection @2.4GHz.

Direct sunlight may produce a glare on the lens at various parts of the day. If this is a concern for your device, using a wedge or corner kit can help. You can't get a good picture of the person who is approaching the ring door bell device. I would advise to pay a little more and get a better resolution camera if you are concerned about safety

It sounds like your device is not detecting all of the motion you are wanting. The motion sensors in your Ring Video Doorbell are designed to detect motion up to 155 degrees horizontally and from five to 25 feet outward from the fixture. They're also more sensitive to horizontal movement across the detection area than vertical movement.
The proper placement of your Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) will have a large impact on the motion your device detects. Proper placement depends on a number of factors, including the layout of your yard, the distance from the front door to the street, objects within the Ring Doorbell's field of view, the height of the door, and more.
