    Unboxing and installation was easy. First days after installed app crashed (Amazon issue) but mine stayed off for and add'l day. After having it for 2 weeks, now it's having issues with the wifi. Nothing with wifi has been changed, router placing or anything blocking the Ring doorbell.

    Great view for a small area. Sometimes it gives a delayed response on someone ringing the doorbell or just in the covered area

      Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with answering your doorbell from your Ring App. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring app with most of the features stripped out except for the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app in conjunction with the original Ring app, you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible.     Very much needed device by everyone. Great to keep an eye on front door. App works well and nice how you can post things on it to let other ring users know whats going on in the neighborhood.

    I got a great deal on this that included the mini speaker but sadly had to return both because the Ring doorbell was defective

    I have an apartment and it’s great! Our original doorbell doesn’t work and purchase this instead. Now I can see who is outside and talk to delivery person as well where to put the package.

    Compared to other doorbells with equivalent or better features, this just isn't a good buy. Switched over to Nest.

    Works well during trial period

    After month trial period ends and you sign up to pay monthly it does not work well.. Does not always go off when people are at the door. Also takes Ionger to load Videos someone can already come into your house before you know who it is and if you would like to keep your videos make sure you sign up before your trial ends because they will delete all your free month of videos right away!!!

      After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell is not picking up the correct motion. The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert.     It does it’s job, but charging is miserable. I recommend getting the version that is POE or hardwired.

We agree that getting the most life from your Ring battery is essential, so that it can provide you with around-the-clock coverage. Having a seamless recharge experience is essential.

      We would recommend purchasing a second battery pack to keep fully charged in a drawer. While batteries in Ring devices can go months between recharges with normal use, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home's environment, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. The more events captured by your Ring Doorbell, the more your battery is used to power the live HD video stream to your device. Even if you do not answer the call, video is still sent from your Ring product to the Ring servers. In addition, the battery is also drained each time you use the live view to look or speak through your camera. As most of our Ring Doorbells are powered by lithium-ion batteries, it's important to note that at temperatures below 40 °F, the battery is less effective at holding a charge and may require more frequent recharges.     Great camera but very misleading on extra items

    Device is great itself except it comes with the battery mostly dead. Also in the extra items description it states that the rechargeable battery is compatible and it is not. Now I have an extra battery that doesn’t even fit this Ring. Which means I wasted $30 for nothing. Very disappointed and upset with Best Buy for this false information and of course it is too late to return it.

      Based on your review, it seems like your Ring Video Doorbell 2020 came with a low battery. We would like to note that all Ring devices do not ship at full charge, and we recommend fully charging the device before using it. Your Video Doorbell (2020 release) battery is charged using a common micro-USB cable (an orange one is included in your Ring box). The micro-USB cable can be plugged into any USB power source such as a computer. Your battery will take around five to 10 hours to fully charge, depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or into a wall outlet.     I bought a wired Arlo doorbell and for some reason it wouldn’t work with my door chime (electrical problem). I bought the wireless Ring doorbell to replace it and I love it.

    Great doorbell. I liked the peephole Ring better because you can change the battery without taken the RING off the door. This one you have to take the Ring down to charge it. It's a minor complaint. It works great and you can set the sensitivity if you want.

    Won't last 2 Years

    The life span on my Ring was 1 year 5 months. Called Ring and they said it was out of warranty by 5 months and the battery status is poor, the best advice they had is to trash it and buy a new one. Was really hoping for a battery replacement which they don't even offer. They just create Waste.

      If you’ve tried everything else, and are still not succeeding to set up your device, you can try performing a reset/restore on your Ring doorbell device by holding down the set-up button on the device for 20 seconds and then releasing it.       If your Ring doorbell or security camera battery is draining too fast, it might be caused by a poor wifi connection.
